Me and my lead singer were talking about this the other day. Despite that we've been in tons of reputable bands, we've never been able to pull HBs after shows. Plenty of them come to shows. My question in specific for you guys that play the talent card (actors, musicians, sports stars)..what is the best way to convert a girls interest after a performance. Here's what happens. I'm all amped and just got off stage, I'm the drummer and a girl comes up to me out of nowhere and says You play really great drums, and all I can usually muster is Thanks, or thanks for coming to the show. Then she'll usually turn and walk away. Sometimes you played a great show just means you played a great show, but I know a lot of times women are in lingering proximity to men because they're attracted. I feel by a woman saying this she's opening, how should I react so that the conversation doesn't just end and I can get into mid game? thanks for all suggestions. |

Oh man you have it so easy and don't even know it... Women love the idea of hooking up with a rock star. Have confidence! If she says you played the drums really well you could use several different routines - one make sure you act like you have to talk to everyone so she knows your times important (push pull) then you could use - cocky funny example (your response- Yeah I hear that all the time but its ok cause im not sick of it just yet (follow up with a ?) Get the convo going. Good luck mate |

try watching the tv-show Californication (first season) and watch how the main character Hank Moody uses his status as a semi-famous writer to pull. There are several instances where a girl will open him with "I really love your writing" and then he takes it from there. Note that Californication is a really over-top show, so you obviously shouldn't expect to score as easily as Moody. |

Quote for quote:thanks for all suggestions. "Thanks! Do you play any instruments? I can teach you how to play drums if you're cool enough." Say that then just start a conversation. You can leave with her after or whatever. COME ON!!! You're a fucking musician man!!!!! Easy ass right there! |
