I'm itching to say something though xD I don't like guys tryin to AMOG me cuz it is the one thing i REALLY have to work on. I struggle AMOGing, no matter how much material I read. It's more of a personal mission now. |

This is a tough one, but depending on what sort of person you are, and how you are known by others, this could work very well: "But you were a terrible pimp! Didn't even get me any clients...." It basically works this way: You accept the joke, because it's okay, no one can humiliate you. Then you just take any actual conduct out of the implied story, exonerating yourself, and then turn whatever's left back on him. It's not gold, but you don't have much to work with (at least form what I'm seeign right now. Then again, it's almost 5 AM and I've been up all night!) |

My usual method to dealing with AMOGs (at least when they try to put you down) is to be 'RAD' Recognise- basically notice that they are trying to put you down- you would be suprised how often ppl don't recognise whats happenning. It can be subtle. Accept- Say like 'aww thanks man' or 'That was necessary' or similar. Defeat- Whilst you were accepting, think of some good comeback, and if you can't think of one just be like 'that attitude must make people really love you.' before continuing a convo with other people. As you deliver the defeating statemen,t start turning your head away from him, like he doesn't deserve yourfull attention. Obviously, this can't work online which really pisses me off. xD |
