Post subject:  Dealing with compliments?

Whenever i get a compliment i feel i don't respond very well to them. It's kind of ironic the one part of my game that is the weakest is when a girl shows direct interest..
Usually the girl will say something like "you make me laugh"
My usual responses are either something like "thank you", or "tell me something i don't know", the first being too lame and the second being a bit too cocky
I know it's all in the attitude, but i still feel unsolid on my responses in this regard

"I'm glad." with a smile.

Seems like a typical example of 'over analysing' to me. Whenever a girl says something like: 'nice shoes', just respond with 'thank you' and go on with the conversation. This way you deal with it like you hear it often.
When a girl says something like 'you make me laugh', something like 'that's good' or 'I'm glad' would be enough.

"Thank you," is seriously the most confident way to accept a compliment. Say it and then move on to something else.

Depending on the girl and how the conversation is going I'll either say 'thank you' and carry on or stop and just look at her and say something like 'Oh my God, I can't believe how much of a flirt you are. I've known you five minutes and you're already picturing me naked, aren't you. All you women ever want is sex' and then you can use the MM kinda thing by looking at her friend like 'seriously, is she always like this? How do put up with her?'

If you're going to use the flirting comeback, a one liner won't do it. You have to play on it for a good few and use the others in the set, if you can.

I tend to drop my smile for the first line, and then bring it back with the naked line.
