I hate it. It's honestly the biggest obstacle in my game. Approach anxiety is still kind of an issue but not the biggest one. Once I get past A1 and into A2, the hard part's over. But sometimes (most than half the time honestly), I get stuck in A1 and have to bail out of a set instead of letting the awkward silence sink deep and have them blow me off. This is despite the fact that I usually get them laughing about some random joke or something I use to get their initial interest.

I'm not gonna ask you guys to tell me exactly how to tackle this one. If you wanna share a few examples or some routines, sure, but it works differently for everyone. I think the problem is the mindset I have going into sets. Perhaps I care too much about closing the chick. Perhaps I over think things and it inhibits my conversational skills. Perhaps I just need to be more relaxed. I've had good days where I feel like I'm the shit and all this stuff just feels natural, and therefore I know I have the potential for greatness. But something must be preventing those good days from happening everyday.

I don't know if this helps, but something I've been telling myself since I started doing this - it's about learning the Game, not about getting the girl. If you get the girl, it's a bonus. But if you get good at the game, you'll get the girl every time and then *that* particular girl won't matter as much.

You're definitely right. But...your answer was too general for my question. Can you be more specific?
