| Post subject: | Ex Opens Up To Me, Now I'm In An Awkward Place (Help?!) |
About a week ago, my ex girlfriend started talking to me again. It was just casual conversations, such as "how was your day?" and stuff like that. She called me one night earlier this week, and during the conversation began asking me what I remember most about our relationship, which kind of tipped me off that there was something there, but I didn't wanna jump the gun. She also asked if I still had feelings for her, and I was honest and I said "yes" and explained how I felt and such. She was happy that I let it out. I came here a few months ago about the problems I was having with her saying that I was "too good" for her and such. We ended up breaking up in early December, and she kinda disappeared after that. I recently started dating another girl that I've been very good friends with for a few years now, and her and I became official yesterday. Today, my ex started deleting me on MySpace and Facebook. I sent her a text just asking if everything was okay, and eventually she apologized and told me to re-add her. I decided that she could add me back this time, which she did shortly after. About an hour later, she posted on my Facebook wall, basically saying how happy she was for me that I found someone. She sort of opened up a little bit about how she felt about me, and added how she felt like she didn't love me the way I deserved to be, and that she hopes my girlfriend will do that. I got this strange vibe that she still liked me, so I sent her a text saying "Thank you for saying all of that, it really means a lot. :,)" -- She replied back ":( I'm crying a little bit too". I asked why, and we started talking. Eventually she started pouring her heart out to me about how she felt. She even told me at one point "No longer do I think I love you, I KNOW that I love you." I was blunt and basically told her that if she wanted to be with me, then all she had to do was say the word. She sort of beat around the bush with her answer, saying "Okay, I'll think about it, but you just got into a relationship and I don't wanna ruin that." We continued talking, and she went to sleep just a bit ago. Her last text was "hey, im really tired, im gonna so to sleep hunny. good night! love ya.." -- I found it strange that she called me "hunny" since she hasn't done that since we dated. I was honest with my girlfriend and told her everything that went down, and she said she'd like to help me out because she knows how much I like my ex still, and that she feels like she owes me since I helped her out a lot in the past. Problem is we have no idea what do to sort of set me and my ex back up. How would/should we go about doing this? Should my girlfriend talk to her about it? Should we fake a bad break-up or something? lol |

Mate, just to let you know Im 100% no expert on this so don't take what I say to heart, okay ? Promise ? Right, you said she started to talk to you about the Relationship BEFORE you got exclusive with this other girl, which makes me doubt what I'm about to say a lil'. It seems to me you became much more attractive to her AFTER you got exclusive, when you become unavailable she started wanting you more and more, hence why you poured your heart out. If you dump this new GF that's done nothing wrong to go back to the old GF, well for me it's a mistake, and I think your Ex would lose this new respect/attraction for you quickly if you came back at the click of her fingers. You haven't shared everything that was said obviously though, maybe your Ex felt this before your new GF and you became official, maybe this just gave her the kick up the arse to say it - honestly, I can't answer that. Just some thoughts. |

Yeah, that what I was thinking. One little thing I forgot to add was that she did she has felt this way for a long time, but never how to really explain it until then.Just some thoughts. I've been texting her a bit today, keeping my side of the convo casual, but she's still acting very attracted, and she's having me listen to all these songs that she says remind her of us. |
