Hi. I'm having some troubles holding back when im in a great conversation. I allways get too enthousiastic and i find it very hard to keep my cool. Anyone has some advice on how to not get too excited when things finally work? Thanks! |

lol I get this too actually. I can get a bit too intense / into it when I am having a good conversation. And so many PUAs say to 'keep your cool' and stay 'relaxed' and chill. Okay, this is pretty good advice... But then there's the other side to this argument; have fun! When you get excited about something, generally it means you are having fun and are interested in what you are talking about! I don't know about anyone else, but I don't see a problem in that. Don't suppress excitement (or feelings of any kind, for that matter). If you feel excited, be excited. I think what most PUAs mean when they suggest to be relaxed is to replace your anxiety around women with a calm, relaxed, happy vibe. This reduces the intimidation factor and makes you seem comfortable to be around. Excitement can be even more comfortable. Intensity is something else altogether - if you are intense, then you may need to tone it down a little. But excitement is a good thing, don't suppress this. It makes everything seem a lot more interesting. |
