| Post subject: | Define perfect body language |
Hello fellas, I've recently started to get a little back into the game mindset after no longing being in a exclusive relationship. I know i'm mad rusty in probably a million things, but the first I want to tackle is body language because it makes up so much of an interaction. How would you guys define perfect body language? One who can calibrate in a situation, if so can I get some examples of perfect/good calibration, and any advice of what I can try to be mindful of in the field. Or is it alpha body language at ALL times. Calibration in body language isn't done for the person, they gotta unconscious calibrate to you if any mirroring is going to take place so you know straight up if you are leading or not, if they're interested or not. Does this mean NEVER cross your arms, legs, tap my finger/foot in class/waiting, legs closer than shoulder width apart, hands folded, twiddling thumbs, etc? As much information as possible would be great. Thanks for your time. |

Congruency is the word thown around. It is key. If you act like a confident, strong man, then run like a little bitch in a confrontation, your image is shattered. Always be congruent. People will notice. It is the small subtleties of body language that give you away. I am self aware of it now. Sometimes when a super duper ultra hotty walks by me I might fidget a bit and wonder why I am fidgeting all of the sudden. Watch Travolta... you can't find a spot where he's out of that confidenct character. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HKXqEwDKuc |

Molson makes a good point... and I think body language is similar to things like frame control and building rapport; you have to work on starting strong and keeping it strong until the end. I've gotten better at this. What you say in different situations and how you react to things. In the case of body language, how you physically present yourself and react to things. It's something you should always be conscious of... not overthinking of over-analysing, especially when you're already in-field, but it as you get more experience and get more confidence it becomes more natural over time. Good posture, aiding verbal expression, appearing calm and relaxed and in control of your energy and emotions, etc... it's all about calibrating the sub-communications more than anything. |
