Hey guys, I'm writing this post to discuss over studying, Im a culprit. I recently read a report that Brad P wrote and it made total sense. What is stopping most guys from advancing at a rapid pace is studying too much and not enough action- being a keyboard jockie. When you take in too much information your brain gets overloaded and you cant use any of it. Also You form what he calls negative "information experiences" that reinforce negative thoughts about yourself if you are taking in new information but not applying it. The trick is to take 2 hours of action for every one hour of studying. |

Yeah, we all start out as keyboard jockies as we get hooked on reading and learning about all this stuff. BUT, the only way to learn how it REALLY is in the real world, and the only way to learn how to handle interrupts and forming contingency plans is through IN-FIELD EXPERIENCE. When i first started out, i was doing 90% Reading, 10% in-field, only cos i couldnt do much more. Nowadays i'm doing 95% in-field (about 3-4 times per week for acouple of hours a time) and only 5% reading, because in-field lessons are much more valuable and stay with you for longer. JUST DO IT. - Nike |
