Hey guys, I was just texting this one girl, and may I say, she is quite the bitch over texting haha. Strange thing is, in person, we flirt/kino/joke around. The texting conversation was just me asking her about something for a class. When she started getting prissy I negged her on it. She responded with another negative tone and I just didn't bother responding. Anything I did to mess it up/is it a shit test/what do you guys think? - Rapture |

Well that's the problem with texting, there is no tone or mood conveyed with the text. She could actually just be a very blunt person when it comes to texting over the phone. Could you give us some examples of her "bitchiness"? ~Antithesis |

I'm not a big fan of texting to be honest. It's not really personal. If i want to know something or just wanna talk to the girl i'll call her. U dont have to wait for the text, u can get your answer straight away + it's more personal and can set a mood. |

I prefer texting all the way.... im very good at creating tone in texts... however.... its very difficult to do it if the person ur texting has only seeen u in person once or twice..... because they donno how u talk normally... im very very cocky and sarcastic.. so i would come off as a real jackass to someone who doesnt know me... but im good at creating play tone in texts now so i usually do fine.... phone calls annoy me....just saying this cuz i dont believe in call over text.. at all..unless she seems like shed respond from a call better.... when i get a girls number i usuall follow it right up with "very honest question here...and there IS a correct response.... do u prefer text or call? " they usually say text..... esp the young ones 19 - 25 but even up to 28 i find a lot prefer to be texted.... i can say for SURE that i have had a lot of times a bitchy sounding texter.. but really playful in person....... i think its the tonality.. shes a bad communicator thru text and prolli doesn't realize it... meaning she prolli wont read sarcasm, negs and cockiness thru text until she knows u really well...... id say talk to her how u wanna and dont let her responses bother u..a lot of it is prolli just straight forward response and ur taking it personally like its bitchiness...... if shes uninteresting thru text.. tell her she is but follow it up and say "so lets grab a coffee and talk before u put me to sleep with ur one word answers!" i lived with one of my ex's for three and a bit years.. we still talk on msn few times a month...... no more contact in person tho.... but she still seems bitchy online.... but she gets my jokes and will lighten up to them but a lot of her responses are so blah.. its just how she types.... not her actual mood |

If she don't handle negs how you want her to then don’t use them. Sounds like things are all good till you neg her. She could be self conscious person and you negging her pisses her off. |
