If you don't feel comfortable using a nickname, then don't. It shouldn't change your game any. A name should have a meaning and serve a purpose; you shouldn't just use one for the sake of using one.

Hey, So im pretty "uncomfortable" to use nicknames unless its a personal joke between us. For example : "babe, honey, love,sweety" (the oens i can think off the top of my head. They do't seem to natural or they make me feel like a dick. Any opinions or nicknames that could be good to use? |

I feel uncomfortable using those terms too....especially in public. They always seem kinda cheesy and forced. This will be of no help to you, but one Im using with this girl at the moment is 'Red'. Shes into left wing politics, so....anyway.... she laughed her ass off when I first used it. She loves it now. So I guess what im saying is try and make it personal to her...she'll appreciate the effort. Canned shit like 'baby', and 'honey' shows lack of imagination. |

Nicknames are not required for gaming. It's just a fun tool to use every now and then. If you don't feel comfortable using nicknames, don't. If you try it out and decide you like it, use it. Nothing wrong with some experimenting to find out what works for you. |
