Ok. I thought I would never have to post for something this newbish again, but newbs are always wrong.
I got back into it on tuesday and got past my reoccurence of approach anxiety. On tuesday I approached a few girls and later in the night I decided I wanted to see one girl again, so stupidly used an afc line: "Im not very good at this in clubs, but I was just wondering if I could meet with you some other time?" she said yeah, I then said what I should have done in the first place "Do you like coffee?" she said yeah and I handed her my phone.
She even sent a friend to check on my name after so she could save it in her phonebook! If thats not an IOI I dont know what is!?!
So the next morning I was all yay for my first number close in two years and prepared a txt to send her later in the afternoon.
I decided to send a decisive txt which only required a yes/no answer; "you like coffee, right? Theres a place iv been meaning to checkout. Do you want to join me there tomorrow afternoon? x"
A perfectly acceptable txt! or i think so.
But there has been no reply... I think it was to direct and since i had only seen her briefly the lack of fluffing might have made it feel a bit full on. in hindsight i would have sent "hey, its me from the club last night. Did you have a good time?" and seen where that got me.
What do i do now? my head says dont txt her again save some dignity. My hearts saying try one more time before i break, its the first number in ages and my balls are saying just do it, if not youll never see her again, its the same as the approach. So im gonna txt her again! but what should i say?
I think I should ignore that she didnt txt me back, either that or make a joke about it. Maybe wait till next tuesday and txt to say are you out again? what about, "You promised me you'd come for coffee on tuesday night. Now ive had two coffees with two friends and neither was you
"trying to remind her when i met her and dhv in that one.
please advise!
