Haha, ok, here's something women always find a way of asking... "Do you live at home or...?"

I'm 25, and although I have a somewhat legit excuse for living with my mother (shes recently separated and has medical issues)... it's totally embarrassing. I feel like its a DLV, and sometimes it even freezes me.

Has anyone had to work around a similar living situation? Are there any good responses to this question?

Is your reason an excuse, or is it something legit.
If your mum really does need your help then I can only see this as a DHV if you tell it right.

As long as you have a real legit reason to why you are living with your parents most girls will be cool with it. Heck I am living with my mom due to finical reasons (hours at my work have been cut back due to the bad economy). And when I tell girls this they have been cool with it and understanding as a lot of them are in similar situations as well.

It all in how you say it. If you feel embarrassed saying it, girls will sense that and you will dlv not because you live at home but because it bothers you that you live at home. But if you feel proud that you are taking care of the woman who brought you into the world when she needs you the most, that's a huge dhv.

been at home for the past year b/c my line of work while admirable does not pay the best. i've told girls this and it hasn't stopped me. i snuck a brazilian girl into my room this past sunday night, we had sex, then she left. it was like high school and it only added to the sexual tension. it's in how you frame it and how YOU see it. if your frame is strong, it won't affect you. i have a buddy that does, and he lets it fuck up his frame of mind, lets it devalue him.

It's all about how you frame it:

"I live at home with my mom" DLV. Makes you look like a loser.

"My mom's been sick so I moved back home to take care of her." - DHV.

1. Shows you are a caring, nurturing person with strong family values. Women love that.
2. It also suggests that you gave up a location (apartment, house etc) to take care of your mother. This speaks to your maturity and financial stability. It's not entirely the truth, but it's not exactly a blatant lie either.
