Post subject:  Transition from casual talk in trains/bus to phone closing

Last night I talked to three different girls during my way home on different trains. I found something to talk about and kept it going, however I did not manage to the transition from this semi-flirtatious casual talk to asking if they wanted to se me again and phone numbers.

So what to do? Do I just say something like: Well I have to get off in a moment, It was lovely talking to you I think you are a charming lovely girl maybee we could meet again at a cafe or something, what do you say?...Can I get your phone number. This seems straight forward, but would it work? What are you experiences in this situation.

It should be kind of classic meeting a girl on the bus or the train and this leading to something more. At least thats what I have been led to believe has happened for maybee a century or more. My exes grandparents suposedly met this way anyway. His line was "why so fast are you running from something?, it is tough keeping up with you" at least thats what the ex told me. What are your thoughts? Maybee many words or phrases would work but it mainly depends on the deliverence?

"This is my stop. How can we continue this conversation?" By phrasing it this way, you make her think of exchanging numbers, or names for facebook, or whatever.

"I have to get off at the next stop. You should try out to be my new partner in crime. There's a long line but it might be worth the wait" (Credit Jay Wa).

Yeah I do this all the time on public transport. As long as you start out acting as if you just wanted some random person to talk to, and then gradually become interested in what they're talking about, and make it really obvious that's why you're interested, you can say most anything, I usually say something like "You know what? You're really cool - have you got a facebook or something?"

You can come up with something that works for you though.

My advice would be to say "I'm getting off in a couple of stops, but I'd like to carry on this conversation" Then suggest Facebook, or phone, or e-mail or whatever or let them suggest one... This puts you in an alpha position and DHV.

Alternatively "It's been really good to meet you, we should stay in contact... Here, take my number...", then "One ring me so I have yours..." or "and what's yours? 0..." because mobile phone numbers start with 0 it makes them feel they've already started giving it to you. Using this makes them feel rude to say no and also subtly and subconsciously makes them associate your conversation with being "good".

Happy hunting :)
