hey guys sorry i've not been on here for a while. i've had problems with my internet and other stuff, but i'm back. now, i was out tonight in the local club, and i felt myself being happy, and having fun. i certainly noticed it. and so did others. blokes were getting out of MY way when i was walking, and girls were coming and talking to me. it was awesome. number closed one girl, and k-closed another. But my problem is this. I dont often get like that, and in gamblers book i read about anchoring to a phrase or movment to get your mood up. i tried doing it and it kinda works, but not very well. is there anyone who can tell me how to anchor my good feelings to something such as clicking my fingers a few times or listening to a song before i go out? If you can it would be a great help to my game, and would be really gratefull. Headstock |

I was going to write a post about this eventually... To keep it short you can very easily anchor the good feelings to a specific song or genre of songs... For example the song i've done this best to is gwen stafani's sweet escape (however you spell that). The key point is to only listen to the song or songs while you're in a fantastic mood. If you hear it on the radio and you're just feeling normal or less than normal turn it the hell off. Thats basically all you have to do, after awhile after only listening to it while in a good mood you will instantly feel better when you hear it, and it works better with up beat fun songs. Good luck hope this works for ya |

Timely and excellent advice. Thank you. I just got home from the gym and I was feeling really alive. Then I read this and figured I'd try it. Every time I feel this good, I'm going to anchor it to "Staring at the Sun" by The Offspring. It's the kind of high-energy music that gets my blood rushing. |

So you're wanting to get the good feeling attached to snapping your fingers or something to that nature? I'd assume it would have similar effects but it seems like it would not be as potent. Music has so many more variables in it than just snapping.

The problem with using snapping or clapping as an anchor is that they are already anchored to other things (things you may not even realize). S it will be very difficult if almost impossible to change those anchors which have been a part of you for so long. Best to find something unique that hasn't already been anchored to you in some way.
