Post subject:  When an Alpha meets another Alpha

hey guys

ok, im interested what you think is the best way for the alpha man in the group to behave toward another alpha? i've noticed they seem to acknowledge each other as alpha, but tend to keep their distance somewhat. They also seem to have a healthy respect for each other when they are two true, high value guys. When they do become friends, often they become VERY good friends??

or should they both decide for themselves who is the higher value guy out of the two and then play the respective role otherwise a struggle for that top spot may erupt? but im thinking that is behaviour of lower value guys...is it best to just sit back, be friendly...maintain the mentality that you ARE the alpha?

i think the dynamics in that situation could get quite complicated...thoughts please...

cheers,
john

Everyone wants to be the "big dog" in the kennel, but every kennel only has one "big dog". Keep that in mind and don't overplay it. Even if you are an Alpha, you are always gonna run into someone who is more Alpha than you.

Be yourself and don't get out of your zone. Because if you do, you will look weak.

Think of it this way. I used to ride an old school Harley shovel-head. Sooner or later, gaurenteed, I would end up in some scumbag bar, rubbing elbows with real "bikers", recently out of prison, guys who eat chumps alive.

Now I'm a college educated dude and like the finer things in life, while at the same time, I like to keep in touch with my scumbag "manly" roots. But I can get away with going in deeper water than most bros fear to thread.

My point is this, some of these really big guys were way more alpha than me. And that is just gonna happen. But I got respect for them, I got respect for me and I'm not afraid. I always had a good time and never ran into trouble.

But if you go into a bar like that and start putting on a front,,, dude, you're gonna have a problem. So don't worry about being out-alphed. That is part of the game. Knowing the ranking system and respecting the realities shows strength, because you understand the game.

Just like dogs,,, when do they get into a tussle? When they forget who the boss is.
