Post subject:  Girls Congratulating you on your pick up skills
In the past couple of weeks. A few times, a girl has interrupted me during a set to say how impressed she was with either my pick up skills, my approach or my ability to converse with women. Normally when a girl says: "I got to say I'm really impressed with this pick up." or something to that extent. I respond: "Pick up? Please, honey your not my type." and act sort of pissed off. Is this a IOD or is it an IOI? Is there any better come backs than what I'm using?

haha, you know you loved every second of their compliments. they notice that you're a man and have the balls to not only approach, but get them interested. but the fact that they called it a pick-up.. just seems like a cockblock to me.. i dunno.

Yea, I like the I just like meeting people line. Last night I forgot to do the left hand check and three gorgeous married women complimented me on my confidence. And asked for my number for contact purposes (I'm a golf pro). It just really made me laugh cause I wrote this topic just before I went out for the night.

That's a direct IOI if she says it and stays with you. She is telling you that she's okay with you "picking her up". Like the others said, just play it cool, not a big deal.

Just say thank you and continue with your game. Then when your done with the girl you where just talking to, game the girl(s) that gave you that compliment as more than likely they are semi interested in you.

I've seen a video of a PUA getting asked this and all he said was :"I don't pick up, I talk"

Its a tricky situation. But it seems like girls are so used to losers trying to pick them up. That they are happy a PUA is doing it so smoothly and effortlessly. I definitely take it as an ioi, but its tricky to know how to play off that kind of comment.

I get called really smooth quite frequently and have been complimented on my pick up skills a couple of times, I usually just say "well, a guys gotta try" then smile, whilst holding some eye contact.

In my opinion this is not a good line. I have long excluded the word 'just' from my vocabulary because it is completely beta, and the line is in a sense qualifying. As if you are treating her compliment as a shit test and failing.

Similar thing with that...I'm interested to know field results with this. Probably won't make a difference so long as your overall game is good. I suppose it shows vulnerability but other than that, that line seems very good at succinctly telling the girl that you have little value and don't get laid much.

I think your original line Barney, was good, so long as it was said with a light-hearted C&F manner. If you made it too harsh or with a defensive frame it would come across bad.

I would probably take it as an IOI and call her out on it, go direct just to calibrate what she really wants and where she's really at. Actually now that I think of it my C&F response I've been using lately a lot for this type of thing though is:

(Without paying attention to the girl): "Hold on, I'm picking up this girl now, wait your turn/I'll pick you up in a few minutes."

I know this sets the frame of you chasing and that she is the 'prize' or whatever doctrine you follow, but I find it hilarious and it seems to work well. Jurupa's advice is good.

yup my line has to be pulled off correctly, it needs to be in a very jokey manor so they realize that you probably get your fair share of women. Also a good sprinkle of eye contact can make it quite a seductive line.

I think that is a very effective way of shutting her down (i just like to meet people) but you could also reverse it on her

her: you have good pickup skills
you: thanks i work with people, do you always acusse guys you want to talk to of having good pickup skills
her: what are you talking about
you: im not judging you if you want to pick me up take your best shot

and walla you have reframed the situation into her being the one using a line and prethought up material instead of you

I think it also could be an IOI but if it is an IOI or not it dosnt matter because if it isnt your reframing the situation to where you want it to be and if it is an IOI your probably getting her to laugh and giving her the opportunity she wanted the chance to flirt with you

i dont like this one because in a sense you are lowering your value to her and making it sound like your putting effort into it. keep it alpha male with something like "i dont pick up, i talk" as mentioned earlier.

I always think that delivery is important, which makes learning lines off a screen ridiculous but yeah I always think a lot of the "cooler" lines sounds kinda try hard and wouldn't suit my game.
On paper my line is try hard and beta but with a nice sprinkle of naughty school boy smile it works for me.
