Awesome advice BlueLover! You should setup the Day 2 during the first interaction where you meet. Simply because her "buying" temperature is at it's peak. You have the best chance of getting it then. A number is a means to an end (Day 2) not the end itself. So setup for the day 2 during the intial meeting when you can. You don't know if she has personal problems. Maybe she's got a boyfriend. Another thing to keep in mind. Is you might not have had enough comfort built. The reason I say this is because when a woman is attracted to you like she definitely was you can always get a number. The problem then comes when setting a date.
She is attracted to you but she's attracted to a lot of guys out there. Without good comfort built she really doesn't know "who you are" and what you are going to talk about. Sure you're cute and nice, but that isn't much to go on. This will force and awkward date, and she can simply avoid that by not talking to you after the 'ether' of the intial meeting wears off.
Then again, like Bluelover states there could be 100 other things we don't see because we weren't there when it all went down. In the future make sure you get a good 15 minutes of comfort being built, stop the ball busting negs and stuff and just get to know her. Then get the # and go ahead and setup a Day 2 right then. This should help out a lot.
