Ok heres a sticking point that is kinda 50/50 for me. You open a set sometimes easily throw in an FTC get a few laughs with your opener. But somtimes its hard to move on in the conversation and keep things going. How can you transition to the hook point so your not that guys who is still hanging around after your opener can go stale? |

its one of the early problems most of us had to deal with when we got into this glorified hobby.. lol ok a few easy ways to move from a one-topic conversation to a general conversation is simply through the use of 'transitions': Observational Make a comment about a visible tattoo, piercing, item of clothing (shoes are good), their accent, contact lenses... ANYTHING. just change the friggin topic. after making that comment u can add something like: "yeh thats interesting cuz my ex-gf/female friend had the exact same [whatever]" then go into some attraction-building material/routine based on "something cool that the (previously mentioned) ex-gf/female friend once showed u". be enthusiastic about the routine and sell it like its going to be a shitload of fun. Alternatively, u can notice something about their personality like: "wow thats pretty considerate of you" [based on their opinion they gave u from ur opener] and follow up with C&F false disqualification such as: "see thats why itd never work out between us.. ur too nice and im too much of an asshole. *smile*" (i think most ppl usually dont like being called 'nice') Phrasal Various phrases which help u go straight into interesting stories or routines: "oh my god thats crazy because.." "yeah thats just like when..." "hey that totally remind me of.." You could also try just stacking with another opener if u totally forget all these transitions at the time and sometimes preparing routine stacks related to the content of ur opener helps wen ur starting out (but dont rely on these too much!) hope this helps, peace. |

I usually fluff at this point this buys me time to work out a plan and to expand on ideas, it also allows you to build rapport with the target and isolate within conversation e.g. "awesome me too ......" this is a non obvious way (to the rest of the set) gives a legitimate reason to be talking to the target one on one. This allows you to run game without having to spend ages chatting to other people in the group, although sometimes that is what is needed. |
