This has happend a couple of times but im not so sure what to give as a good reply when a random girl says "Hey can i borrow £1" I know that she is good looking, and that she is trying to use her looks to make me give her money (which i never will) I normally reply with "Only if you give me a pound (£1)" but im looking for a better one that will allow me to follow on more easily. Another thing that happens is when a girl asks me for my name and i give it to her and then just as she is about to say her name i interupt and say "Wait...let me guess your name"...they find it fun but i cant think of any funny or interesting names. Help guys. |

if she asks you for a pound then tell her you charge. how much? a qwid fifty for that service.I know that she is good looking, and that she is trying to use her looks to make me give her money (which i never will) I normally reply with "Only if you give me a pound (£1)" but im looking for a better one that will allow me to follow on more easily. I have one that gets laughs when a girl asks me for money. I'll say "well the homeless guy outside played the accordion, what are you gonna do???" |

I've done the name guessing game before. I like to come up with a bunch of names that are crazy and I know are absolutely not going to be her real name. So if it's a white girl, I'll say "Lemme guess.. is your name... Latifa? Shaniqua? Mary Poppins?" But beware, using ethnically-related names like those can offend. I really pissed off this one girl (she was tan, definitely not black, but maybe latina) by guessing that her name was Lafawnduh. Apparently, she hated black people and thought i was calling her black. So maybe don't use those ethnic names if they're a minority. And I do this just for laughs, not really as a neg. |

I like that one However, I'd try and gauge the context. When it's happened to me, I'd give a WTF look followed with an incredulous "What?!?" - make her feel as awkward and ridiculous as someone should when they go to a club and ask for £1 and have her give you a reason. She should either A) act like a self-entitled bitch that'll make it easy for you to tell her where to go; B) come up with some retarded excuse that's easy to see through; or C) give you a good reason. If it's C, just give her the money and be a good guy. If you think she's full of shit, you can follow up with a snappy get-the-fuck-out-of-here line or some kind of qualifying line like Starfox's. Usually though, if there are people around and I'm not buying it, I make a show over how pathetic they're being by shaking my head and turning away from them while putting the money in their hand; it's like you're pushing them away from you with the money and paying them not to waste your fucking time... As for the names, I like the ridiculous guessing game. You can also go for old granny names like Mabel, Prudence, Gertrude, or Hortense. I think it'd be especially funny if the girl looks a little on the wild side (tats, etc). Just be careful not to insult: don't use ghetto names with a black girl, don't use the granny names with older girls, etc. |

i though of one to say earlier on..but its not really full proof. SHE: "Hey can i borrow a £1" ME: "If your a nice person i might lend you one" *smile* SHE: "I am a nice person (something along those lines)" ME: "Oh ok, can you lend me a pound then" SHE: (Reply) Which will probably be a negative one since she knows that i wont give her one and she doesnt care about me so she will just want to go on and ask the next guy that walks past. ME: "See, i knew you wernt a nice person" *smile* It seems that this would have worked better on the girl, she didnt seem like she really needed it and she was more of the slutty type. Anyway some opinions would be helpfull. Thanks. |

ME: "See, i knew you wernt a nice person" *smile* 1) I don't think she is guaranteed to get it 2) I think she would walk away rather than try to validate herself (it's perhaps too a little blunt and doesn't open up the possibility of her validating herself) 3) I think the first response lowers your value and even though the there is a twist - it is too pulled out 4) It seems far too thought out - its not spontaneous enough Personally I like Quote: "well the homeless guy outside played the accordion, what are you gonna do???"
or something of that form. It's clever, its quick and it encourage her to validate herself because of its open form. |
