A couple of days back.. I was in a club for an Erasmus party...and I met 2 girls.. One French and one Lithuanian girl..

I met the French girl for the first time.. and she initiated conversation using a common friend. I saw her a couple of times while dancing later.. and before leaving.. She was sitting with my friends.. So I said goodbye to my friends... and also to her.. and I gave her my number to send me an sms the next day.. So that I could invite her for a trip on the weekend.. with all our friends.

The Lithuanian girl...I had met at a previous party.. and had danced with her well for 30-45 mins.. We had good conversation.. because I had good knowledge about her country... And I built some attraction... with some negs (since she was beautiful )...and a little cocky attitude :P .. The next time I met her.. We danced most of the night.. ( Apart from me... She was dancing with an Italian friend of mine.. and a Spanish guy )..... We had some close moments as well... but I just couldn't initiate "the kiss ". :( Before leaving I met her at the entrance.. and asked her when I would see her again.. She said... maybe in the next party... I invited her for a trip on the weekend.. and gave her my number.. and asked her to sms me next morning..

I didn;t receive sms from either of the 2 girls... I couldn;t take their numbers.. because my phone was off... :( ...

Do you think its a bad idea to give your number ???

It's never a good idea to give a woman your number because it puts the power in their hands. You want to control the interaction the entire time showing that you have a strong frame. By giving her your number without recieving hers, you indicate that you are not a man who has a selection when it comes to women.

Yep, my thoughts exactly. Even Style said that in The Game- Never give your number to a woman because she probably won't call. If a woman calls she appears desperate, if you give her your number, you also appear desperate. Just my opinion.

I dont agree with this. I think that if u give a women your number and you tell her to call you or text you she will do it if she is interested. Tariq Nasheed explains it better in his podcast "Exchanging Numbers with Females", if you go over to http://www.macklessons.mypodcast.com/ u can listen to this show, but i forgot what episode number it was. by the way he gives out some good game.

If you give a woman your number, without getting hers, 9/10 times she won't call. Be prepared. I have a sharpie mini on my key chain just incase. Very very handy.

if she is interested she will call 10/10 times. getting a number from a female means nothing, some females give out their number just to have dudes call them all the time and they dont answer, it kinda boost their ego. anyone can get a number from a girl without even trying. that is why i dont get this number close crap, that is not an accomplistment.

you will come to realize too that getting a females number is nada!!

If the girl ever calls/texts you after YOU give them your number... it's not the kinda girl you want. The most interesting ones are the ones you have to chase after...

I've heard of a style that advocates giving the girl your number but from personal experience it's usually not a good idea.

Something you could have done is had her call your phone on the spot so when you got to it you'd have her number there.

tariq nasheed actually quoted and clowned on you on his podcast.. Ill try too find out which one it is... He wouldnt mention this site because he didnt want to give it props but yea he read your post word for word....

I think it's situational:

Day-game with a nice, normal girl, I have no problem giving her my number.

Night-game or with a really HB, I think it's better to go for their number rather than give them yours.

Never give your number to a girl and if she asks you for it give it to her but then take her number too. If you asks and shes says she will take yours then refuse til she gives you hers!!

the dudes phone was off so he couldnt get her number on the spot. another option is to use one of your friends phones, or get her to send you a text msg on the spot so you'll get it when you switch your phone on.

something else I have done is, if i dont have my phone on me (which doesnt often happen but)...I make them write my full name into their phone and tell them to look me up on facebook...its less threatening than them having to call you the next day (which probably wont happen) and chicks love having new friends on facebook. They look me up on facebook and i get their number after a bit of facebook chit chat. problem is if they FORGET to look you up on facebook....but this probably means you didnt make an impression AT ALL so forget it.

This has worked every single time for me so far.
