If I'm not getting a phone pick-up from her, I'll text her and neg her for a) not answering my call and b) having a certain characteristic (a more general neg about her accent, clothing or behaviour). I'll then move to DHV and sign off quickly.
I've used the example below very recently after she failed to pick up the phone. The background is is that she knows that I'm a musician in a band,and so I focus my DHV spikes on this:
"OMG dude, you're like a mouse! Difficult to get hold of! Don't worry, your Welsh accent is cute, I'd never make fun of it!
. No worries. You gave me a new idea for the 1st line of a new song by btw. It goes "good moments pass and open the door for others". Believe me, it works well with my guitar! Take care little mouse!".She got back to me positively after this. As long as you've got a decent DHV spike prepared, then you should be able to construct a good text message.
In your current situation, I'd text-neg her in two ways.
1) I'd begin my text-neg about the way she interacted with you. This is not easy I suppose, but I would go along the lines of the example I use above, but modify it to your situation:
"OMG dude, you're so like a mouse! Difficult to get hold of! It's funny, because you were a very talkative parrot in my car in the other day!
2) The second neg should be about her using you for a ride, but it shouldn't be the focal point of the text message. If you made it so, she would think that you're perhaps making a big deal out of it. So, as a passing remark at the end of your text message, I would just say something like the example below (I've just thought of this so "3 requirements" are not very original. I'll work on it though!. Its about the principle really):
"...btw, if you want to jump in my car again, you must bring 3 things: 1)your opinion on my friend's troubled relationship; 2) a good joke to cheer us both up and 3) your infectious laugh...I must say its gold!
).I would also furnish the text with a more neutral statement in between these negs and sign off with your name at the end.
