Hello all, I'm a 29 year old very good looking guy. Just moved to a new city, but I've never been very good acquiring friends. I am done college, but I have been a loner most of my life. I just function better that way. I just got out of an ltr and find myself in a new city, working an overnight job (one of the best jobs in my life), and not knowing anybody or knowing how to meet people. I've always been more or less fantastic with women, but these days I find it is difficult to meet new women as a single guy alone. I find myself having my FWB's drive two hours to spend a night with me, and I am slowly realizing this is desperation on my and their part. I've never been good with other guys. I don't know if its the fact that I give off too much of an alpha male persona, the fact that I'm a loner, or that fact that many guys tell women that they think that I am gay. I am very tall (6'6"), go to the gym every second day so I am more than fit, have dark hair and blue eyes, and wear a lot of Abercrombie. I've had the issue with people thinking I am gay all my life, so I have just gotten used to it I guess. I know this perhaps isn't technically a sticking point, but I was just wondering if anybody else has had to overcome these barriers. What techniques and strategies have you used? Thanks in advance. I've usually met people and made friends through work. Then friends of their friends, and friends of their friends and so on. If not then try joining a club. Sports, book club, cooking lessons, whatever... If you've got game with women you should be able to make friends, even with other blokes. It's near enough the same thing except your not trying to fuck them. |
