Going out alone is hard. No one to push you. No one to use as home base. First thing, try looking at it like you are going about your day and are just going to talk to lots of people along the way. Open lots of people, men, women, young and old. Say hi to everyone you pass. The idea being to ware off your approach anxiety for the day, and have you in a good social mood already so when you see a girl you like you'll already be talkative. Also, spend some time with your earphones in, strutting around to music that gets you pumped. When you see a girl you like, make eye contact and yank out you earbuds... Let her see you do it.
