Of course you have to be selective, and only spend time and effort in the HB you like. Here I totally agree with you. I had the same thing in the past, friends tell why I am so picky? While the girls showing obviously interest? I always said something like i.e. they are chubby, big nose, sluts, bitches, etc. So i didn't approach or spend effort in them. Meanwhile I did enjoy that the HB showed interest in me....
So the general question to all of us is: ask yourself honestly, are you really picky or are you finding excuses not to open the girl??
For me it was the latter.
