I realized something really fucking crazy just now. I feel better about being rejected by girls who talk to me for a half hour and reject me, than girls who won't even speak to me for more than a minute. It's like... the girl who sort of knows me, has a better reason to say no. But it's like I have a voice inside me screaming "Give me a chance" to the girls who never even do so. Why is this? It's completely irrational. First of all, because the girl who knows me better is rejecting the complete me, much more closely than the girl who doesn't talk to me. Secondly, I've spent way more time on the longer rejection. How does it bother me less? What is going on here, anyway? |
