So there's this girl, Bubbles, HB8. We met at Starbucks since she works there as a barista. I often say hello to her whenever I see her. Be it at the counter or my table. She likes looking at me and smiling at me. But we never broke the ice until like weeks after.

She found out that I was a smoker, so she went out while I was smoking. She came to me and ignored other people. We started to converse and stuff while we smoked. She asked for my name, (don't know if that's an IOI or she's just being normal), and the bla bla bla talk talk talk. The end.

Another time I was at Starbucks again, she was making my order and didn't know it was for me, so when I was waiting for my drink, she casually called out my drink it which she staggered and realized it was me. Then she said "We'll go smoke together later okay?".

And then true enough on her lunch break she pulled me to smoke outside the mall. We conversed again while we smoked. Then I noticed she giggles at my words a lot, even at the things I say that aren't meant to be funny.

So how do I tell an IOI from someone just being friendly?

I'm not an expert, but my advice would be to be more direct & let HER know what you want, rather than YOU waiting for HER to provide you with an indication that you should go all out and game her! Let her know (without being pushy, aggressive or an arsehole) that you're a MAN who knows what he WANTS, and you're not afraid to go for it!

Next time you see her, on a smoking break or whatever, just say something like:

"Hey, the more we chat, I'm actually starting to think you might be pretty cool! You intrigue me, and I think we could have some fun hanging out AWAY from your work environment! I'd like to know more about the girl hiding behind those delicious Mochas you make!" :D

Obviously, delivery would be key here! I'm not sure what your usual gaming "style" is, but if you say this in a confident, MILDLY cocky-funny way, and without being arrogant, I think you could see results!

Then get her number. Don't ASK her for it! You're a man and you EXPECT it! Just hand her your phone, she'll type in her digits, and you should be golden!

(Any other guys on here feel free to critique this advice. As I said, I'm not an expert, but given the situation you've described, I think this could work!)

Those are all IOIs IMO. Its often hard to tell with girls who are in the service industry. Often times waitresses are flurty just to get tips. Guys mistaken them as IOIs then wonder why she shot them down on the number close.

However the fact that she left the service circle to meet you outside is not a bad sign at all. While outside is where you want to take it to the next level. Get her number. Use a ruse. "my friends are having a get together this weekend, you should come by."

Just remember the 'shitting where you eat' thing. If this is a Starbucks you always go to keep that in mind. Otherwise yes those are IOIs for sure. Plenty of girls out there though you may want to keep this one as a cool friend / someone to flirt with etc.

So I did a number close. Wasn't the smoothest I've ever done. But what now? I mean I have no problem with the approach and opening, but now that I've done a number close, what now?

Assuming that the number close went relatively well, even though you claim it wasn't the smoothest ever, I'd just text something like:

"Guard this number with your life! It's the most important one you'll ever get!" :D

She'll either know straight away who you are, or if not, you could either just tell her who you are, or preferably... do a bit of the whole cocky & funny vibe. Get her joking, laughing, smiling etc, then progress from there.

Again, I don't guarantee success, this is just what I would do! Good luck!

Okay, clearly you like the girl and wanna hook up with her I assume. First things first, if you like a girl, approach, game, n-close etc. Don't pay too much attention to IOI's and so forth, the easiest girls I've ever closed were ones who weren't showing any interest at all. Secondly it kinda bothers me how you've been fixated on this ONE girl for weeks and haven't made a move, time is your enemy here not IOI's or lack there of. The longer you take, the more she loses interest. Go get her bud!
