Hey everyone, I'm kind of pissed today: Normally when I try to do a day pickup it goes really well except for one thing... I don't get in quick enough! I get onto my bus and I've just left a formal meeting so everything that I am wearing is designer, I have already number closed someone at the meeting but that is irrelevant, she was a 6, a throwaway to boost my confidence. Anyway, I get onto this bus and sit down opposite a 10, I mean a curvaceous sexy 10. She has a kid but I can tell she is a single mother- no wedding ring, dressed to impress and she's checking me out. TBH I have never f-closed a 10 or a 9 before and it threw me when she smiled at me so what do I do? I sit there. About a minute later I remember my game, I think My friends call me sherlock for a reason, I can read people like books. I know she thinks I'm alpha. She keeps on glancing at me, smiling and playing with her hair, but I just can't say anything, the moment when I would have appeared suave is gone I think I will just seem creepy. How do I get over the fear of initiating a conversation if some time has passed? |

Same way you get over any other fear, you just do it. The way I understand the 3 sec rule is because it takes about 3 seconds in most people for nerves to set in, and they only get worse the more you put off talking to the woman. You just need to jump in and do it. In practice though, if you find yourself in this situation again, I find using my phone as a prop can help. Pretend to read a text, then go with an opinion opener. Will work as a natural conversation starter after a bit of a pause. |

To avoid Approach Anxiety. That's the reason why some of the pua's (Mystery mostly) use the 3 sec rule. The quicker you get there and start to talk with that lady, the more you get over AA. If you just keep sitting and waiting there, you'll get locked up in your own head, you'll freeze and you gonna miss the opportunity to get laid. use it while you still need it.
