So, haha, this has only happened twice in my life (once last night).

I was performing (I'm a magician) last night at a club and, for the most part, everything went well (although it could have gone better). I was having reasonably good results with the women, but there was a little blonde girl who clearly liked me, and I disqualified early. My exact words were "you look like my ex; so I can already tell we won't get along".

Not really a big deal; and she didn't treat it like one at first. Well, later she approached me (drunk this time) and said "I don't like you, you said I looked like your psycho ex!". I explained that I clearly never said that.
"I want you to apologize!", to which I responded "I'm sorry I gave that impression, but I never said that.". She walked away.

..Strange.

So, the night continues. Later on I stepped outside to get some air, and she was with her next-to-midget boyfriend (?). She told him that she didn't like me, and he "didn't want to see a fucking card trick (haha)". Which is fine. But for some reason I was compelled to explain that I never said that (I have a problem where I like to fix things), and eventually she just became angry, and her boyfriend got "angry", along with two of her friends that came out and some group of guys who had no idea what was going on. Everyone just said "walk away".

Obviously it does me no good to reason with anyone, they were all drunk; and one of the guys tried to "tell" on me, which resulted in the bouncer giving him that "are you retarded?" look since everyone there knows me. This scenario happened once before, (although the girl's friends did it, and weren't angry, just obnoxious).

I didn't actually do anything, and I obviously have to simply walk away; but how should I handle this? Is there something I can say or do to leave this situation more victoriously, or should I simply say "pleasure meeting you", and move on to the next set?

This isn't really a heavy sticking point or anything, and last time I think I handled it just fine, but I'd like to hear your thoughts.

You probably shouldn't post stuff like this bro. This is simply about you getting hurt feelings in a social situation. Yes, if she was mad at you and had a boyfriend, you should've just walked away. Who cares what drunk people say anyways?

Yeah, ignore the impulse to try and fix it and just walk away or ignore it. You'll find these things tend to have a funny way of sorting themselves out.

Thanks guys! I posted this because it's not the first time it happened ninja; I always seem to handle these situations less well than I could have. Haha, although she did turn out to be a psycho afterall..
