Ok this is the situation. Met a girl out the other night, got her number and then set up a date. Through out the whole time she is always texting me first, but then the day of she bails, but she apologizes and asks if we can reschedule for later on in the weekend, or if we could just go to dinner during the week. After thinking about it for around 3 hours I text her back and say "I would enjoy dinner as long as you don't bail out again" and I left it at that. She text back really quick and says she is super sorry and so on. We set the date for tonight. I don't text her or talk to her, but last night she texts me "hey". That was it, I was in the middle of some stuff so I waited about an hour then texted her back "hey how are you today?" She is quick to respond and we go back and forth for about an hour then. wanting to sure up a time for today I tell "I will be free about 6:30 tomorrow night so any time after that we can meet up. that still good?". She went ice cold after that. I figure she is going to flake again, and I don't know if I should keep freezing her because when I do she always texts me. Or should I be a little stronger and say something to the effect of "hey it was cool meeting you, i think we could have had a good time. See ya around." and leave it at that. Any ideas on how to handle it would be great! |

I actually liked the way you respond and waited to reply and what not. I would wait a few days and text her something like "Hey Tiffany, do you still want to try and get together sometime?" Don't chase whatever you do. I had one kind of like this. I actually rejected her first date proposal because I didn't like how she presented it to me. Then she rejected my date proposal. So we were at a standoff. The ball was still in my court because that's how girls who play games like this always leave it. That's why you have to follow up with them again, but do it in the least needy way possible. Waiting a couple/few days and then sending one text asking if they want to kick it is not needy. I'd recommend something along those lines. |

yeah I like the "see ya around idea", my time is important, and I hate people doing this shit. But, she always texts me about the same time in the evenings. So we will see if she stays on her schedule and what she says tonight if she does text me. But if by around 10 or so she is still a flake, then I will probably send her that message. |

ok so she flaked. No surprise there! but i texted her about the time we were supposed to meet "hey" that was it. After no replay about about 4 hours I finally texted her "Hey it was cool meeting you. I think we could have had a good time hanging out. Maybe you will see me around" that was it. Thoughts on how i handled this. Personally I doubted sending her the "hey" but I wanted to see if she would try and redeem herself...oh well on to the next! |

I think for the most part you handled this well. The only thing I would have done different is a few steps back. When you spoke to her about catching up for dinner and she agreed, I would have set the time and place then. |
