How can we build interest after the approach?
For example:

I approached a girl, we started talking but she was giving me one word answers.

she always replied back with "uhummm" "yes". Like she wanted me to leave.

Should I say something about it, keep going or just leave?

Thanks for yall help guys!

Merci!

As Mystery once said: "Be interesting, and people will become interested in you."

There are lots of things that can contribute to this. Some are:

-The emotions that the things you say evoke.

-Whether the subject has any experience related to what you are saying or not.

-How many baits you give her and how many and what types of baits does she buy into.

-Your posture and mimicry while you're talking.

-Your gestures.

-The tonality of your voice.

I'd be happy to help you but you lacked to describe in detail basically ANY of the above. The moment you give us details we can tell you with a decent probability what you are doing right and wrong. Cheers :)

Salut my friend!

Well, I was just trying to figure out, how could you build interest. You know sometimes you talk to a girl and she is just answering your questions?...Like she does not care. I dont know if is because Im in a conservative town, but that sucks. You are talkin and they are like"ujum", like they dont want to talk to you.

Another question what is a Bait?
that is my sticking point. Interest.

Then I suspect you're asking too many questions and you don't give them the opportunity to have a normal conversation with you. A bait is something that gives her a chance to react to what you are saying. The more baits you throw in a sentence the more likely she can relate and it helps the conversation to flow a lot.

Example... Instead of: "I went on a bike trip last summer"
You can say: "The best time I had last summer was when me and my friends had a bike trip. We went to XXXX, it wasn't so good because of the trip but because I was there with the people I like the most, we were laughing so much it gave cycling a new level of difficulty"

See for the first sentence she can't really relate, perhaps she can say when she was on a bike trip too, or what she did last summer. But for the second example, she can talk about the time of her life, what they are doing with their friends, some funny story about it, AND cycling and last summer. There're just more opportunities for the conversation to flow. I hope you understand. Cheers :)
