Post subject:  Big Question concerning physical false time constraints

Okay, I know the best false time constraints are verbal and physical.

This involves the physical.

How are you supposed to know when to "act" like you're leaving?

In almost every approach, I've always acted like I was going to leave. Even during a conversation,I'm always twisting and turning to the direction I'm "acting" like I'm going to.

So is that the right way to do it? Or am I missing something?

Well, body rocking is a physical FTC. I guess turning away or body angleing could be too, but i think your best tools after you reach the hook point are body rocking and verbal FTC.

Up front use things like angleing, turning away, body rocking and verbal...then after you reach the hook point (the time the group doesnt want you to leave), then just body rocking and maybe a verbal one.

You dont wana overdue it because then you become the boy who cried wolf. You want to do it often enough so that they beleive you MIGHT leave. Initially your doing so they beleive you WILL leave, then you want to tone it down so they think you'll EVENTUALLY leave, then to the point were you MIGHT leave.

Under do it and they might blow you out of the set, become disintrested, etc. Do it too much and the result will probably be the same.

GOOD SIGNS, would be if you use any kind of FTC and the group or a person in the set physical keeps you from leaving (grabs your hand, takes your hat off), verbally shows an IOI (whats your name, where do you work). If these things happen they want you to stay, stick to body rocking and maybe eventually using one more verbal ftc.
