Post subject:  "I've got a boyfriend"

Hi guys,

I saw a character in a TV show come up with an amusing but efficient way of dealing with the situation when a girl says she has a boyfriend :

Her : "I've got a boyfriend."

Him : "I've got a pet goldfish/dog/cat/ whatever. But let's talk about things that ACTUALLY matter!"

Simple but effective! I like it!

The character in question is a player type, and obviously the delivery of this line needs to be right in order for it to work. He had a smirk on his face, strong eye contact but really laid back body language.

Thoughts?

I like that! I went out "sarging" solo at the mall yesterday evening and had about 4 chicks say "awww im sorry but really " Before i could get it out, i would say "whoaaaaa really, to be honest with you, im not looking for anything serious at all, ive just got my heart broken and im just looking for friends."

Usually the girl laughs, and smiles or something and asks a question. (IOI)

SHIT WORKS WONDERS. Each of those females numbers are in my phone and are on my fb as friends. haha (hope that works out well). This lets them know you totally don't have any interest in trying to "steal" them or fuck up there relationship.

Try it out.

hey stringfellow,

its funny you posted this because i have actually used it a few times and i have gotten some weird results...

one thing that you have to be careful of is how you present this line. if you do it to serious then she could get pissed off. this would be because you are saying that her boyfriend doesnt matter and if she is one of the protective girl friends you would have just screwed the pooch. as well if she has been cheated on by a guy and she is still hurt by it, she could think that you are insinuating that she is a cheater and this could upset her. and again you would have screwed the pooch.

on the other hand if you say it not serious enough then you could just come off as a jokester and could be put in the "FZ" and thats never good as we all know.

my advice is if she says the variation of the line "i have a BF" just act all offended that she thought you were hitting on her in a joking almost sarcastic way this should show her that you are actually hitting on her but also make her question if she is good enough to be on your level. in return creating attraction.

I get the boyfriend line alot..one thing a woman told me though is that half of the time women arwnt happy in there relationship..so if she thinks your worth the risk ..of giving her number to..you have a chance of getting with her on some level.

You can get past this objection, if you suspect they are lying, by ignoring it completely and building some more rapport. then you flatter them eventually with how they are nice and what not. and eventually ask them if they are an honest person. when they say yes ask them how there relationship with their boyfriend is.

if you think they are telling the truth about the boyfriend and you still want them anyway, simply say something like "so what's it like to have a perfect relationship?" obviously it isn't, and she will begin to talk about what makes it imperfect. then you need to defend the boyfriend. always defend him, because if you do then they will continue to bash them. while they are in this boyfriend bashing state you are more likely to be able to hook up with them.
