Post subject:  On Routines and repetitive material
First of all today i had the craziest thing EVER happen to me
sorry guys im gonna talk quite a bit but theres alot bothering me!
I dont game that often since im quite busy lately and ive only recently started (Maybe 6-7 months) and if i sit back and think about it i can probably remember every approach ive ever made.
anyway the two problems are as follows: today i went out, found a smoking hot 2 set and approached but i couldnt get myself together to deliver the approach with as much passion as i did the last time.. first of i was off game and i didnt know what to do and shit but thats normal when youre not on form you know? but i couldnt not notice that i felt like a social robot as i reused my opener (was using my opener..just an opinion opener i created), the game isnt just about results, for me its about challenge.. i felt dry, conversation repeating itself, i couldnt do it with as much passion, i couldnt fake it.. i know mystery says thats how you get good, but i think maybe a more inner game approach will feel a bit more thrilling??
anyway thats not the only problem..i worked my way through the set anyway and it was the third time i used my opener and guess what? the one in a million chance turned up, that this girl is actually close friends with one of the two girls i used the opener on (and i had used the exact same everything lol, and the approaches were 2 months apart ) so i ended up excusing myself and probably ruining both sets... so now from the girls point of view I needed an opinion for buying a present for a girl whos in love with me, then 2 months later needed an opinion again for guess what? yep, buying a present for a girl whos in love with me.. thoughts guys?

Theres nothing wrong with having a few stock openers memorized. Most of the more experienced guys prefer something situational, however you cant rely on always having something clever, engaging, and original for every set. If you do 1000 sets, theres no way you can come up with 1000 different openers on the spot. You never want an opportunity to pass by because you couldnt think of an opener, i personally have 3 memorized which i try not to use too often, but just in case my brain fails me, they're better than having nothing at all to say.

After that your midgame will always be different based on the girl, one of the big keys to avoid having the same conversation repeatedly is to LISTEN TO WHAT SHE SAYS, for example i also use a small routine about names and when i get her name, if the conversation is slowing down i will use this to get a laugh and restart things, however 95% of the time i only get the first small part of the routine out before the girl gives me information about herself which i then use to start a new conversation thread.

On a different note, "recently" starting the game is relative, I've met guys who feel like they're newbies 5 years in, and others who are traveling the world teaching bootcamps after only 6 months. No matter how busy you are, i guarantee that you interact with people every day, so you should practice every day, even if its on some fat guy at the DMV (i did this today and got my traffic tickets dismissed lol)

i dunno what exactly you said man, but it made me feel alot better, and i guess two of the girls the i used the opener on knowing each other is just really bad luck :?

don't kick yourself in the ass. it happens to everyone and the more you fail the better you get on the long run.

i watched a lot of tyler durden material lately on youtube and what he does is running a few WARM UP SETS before the real thing.

i think this is a great idea. running a few warm up lines, conversations, chit chats on basically anyone you have around, guys, girls, mixed sets without wanting anything specifically.

hey man, those people are MPUA's for a reason.. i think its a great idea too. and its great a bloke can get alot of help around here. I mean the feeling of support from fellow pua's, which is more important than the actual content

i always mix up my openers.

I do have a few great openers in the back of my mind stored but i try situational and on the spot (what i can think of) openers.

That way its fun for me and it doesn't get repetitive and boring. :)

yea thats exactly what im talking about, its great to have some stuff to fall on, but its too easy to start canned unless you need to.. game is about challenging yourself and pushing your limits
imagine what happened man, i still cant believe it.. used my canned opener 3 times in malls (on 3 different occasions months apart) and 2 of the girls i used em on were best friends.. WTF right :D
but it still happened and still could happen again.. natural game is the shit

Man, unless you live in Fuckville TN, population 126, the odds are slim to get caught using the same opener on girls who know each other... Keeping the openers and routines on your cheat sheet releases your anxiety about "What to say next" and improves overall game quality... And if they catch you, big deal... I've had girls recognize my routines as being previousely used by my wingman... Even had him joining me in the set and spitting the same material... we laughed our asses out :-)

haha i can imagine thatd be pretty hilarious... i live in a country with population 3 mil but theres not that many girls (i think male to female ratio in the country is 6:4 which is pretty pathetic)
I just did my first direct opener today, first time i go up to a girl (hired gun) and just tell her i think shes cute and want to date her.. its pretty trash game if you ask me but it still worked alright

Kudos to you, man! Direct approach, indirect, facebook, dating sites, church, school, doesn't really matter as long as you get the girl!!! That's what we're here for, to see what works and what not...
