I was curious what you guys think about wearing glasses? I've had really bad vision since I was eight years old, and although I have contacts, I still wear my glasses fairly often. Do you think girls give a shit about them? Does it automatically make you seem like a nerd? |

I think that contacts can definitely help. From grades 1-6 I had glasses and in the 7th grade I got contacts. My self esteem greatly improved, and I was also voted "Best Eyes" both 7th and 8th grade in our year book. Up until then no one had even noticed my eyes. If you really prefer glasses then don't worry about it -- just make sure that they aren't old grandpa glasses. There are a lot of glasses out there that accentuate any look you're going for -- intellectual, stylish, refined, mysterious, etc. Also keep in mind that having glasses can seriously hurt your EC. Good luck |

Girls don't make passes at guys who wear glasses...I converted to contacts a while back, and it was definitely the correct decision. |

Yeah man I have glasses too. Im pretty sure girls like guys with no glasses over guys with glasses. Why? I have no idea why. But when a couple of times when I have made out with a chick, they have taken my glasses of and sat them aside and we went from there...I should invest in some contacts. I wish I had the money. I wore glass from 6th grade through my Sophomore year of college. Just this summer I finally got contacts. My feeling was that having glasses was always something that made me self conscious. I'd enter a party and be the only one with glasses. It made me feel like I had lower value because I felt like people were judging me, and in some cases, they really were. So I switched to contacts. I don't know why it took me so long, I guess I just was stuck on the fact that it "shouldn't matter." I think people view me more openly now, but whats more important is, I've removed an aspect of my life that was lowering my confidence. If you are questioning whether or not you should convert, you probably should, because it means that its on your mind and probably making you feel nervous in social settings. I feel comfortable in any setting now, something that I hadn't felt in probably my whole life. As for why people tend to view glasses poorly, aside from the whole "nerd" element, glasses are associated with poor vision, which translates into poor health which lowers your perceived value. Looking healthy is a factor in demonstrating higher value. That's why people get tans, work out, etc. |

Glasses for me have had a mixed effect, i finally got a pair i liked like last year, and every1 complemented me for them, a few girls have opened to me, however wen i have my glasses off, i get alot more looks, too bad i cant see them. I think i'll invest in some contacts, but i wont let this pair go. |

Ive been wearing glasses since early high school. The ones ive got are thick framed, pretty good looking set. However, whenever i go out, i usually wear contacts because: A- its easier in a club rather than getting bumped around etc. B- motorbike helmet = easier C- i find that girls are generally pretty shallow and subconsciously the Alpha (who will attract them) doesnt wear glasses. However.. ive had mixed reviews. Some girls say i look better with them on, one things for sure, I look older .(which is good because i have a babyface) Jmark i think youre right when u said that bit about going into a club and being the only one with glasses, i used to be like that pretty often too! Jo-E, i say.. for us who arent blessed with 20/20 vision.. wear them when it suits us.. say day game, in a upscale bar (intellectual stylish look), go for contacts when the alpha needs to be shown! |

Don't wear your glasses. I never see hot girls with guys that wear glasses usually. |

It's both culturally and biologically ingrained into girls' minds. The guy who wears glasses is probably nerdy, restrained, boring. It conveys a genetic weakness (myopia) and consequently makes him look less desirable and less dominant. There's a reason Clark Kent rips off his glasses before he transforms into Superman. This is only for first impressions, and it may be overcome by alpha body language and other factors (e.g. social proof, eye contact). So you can absolutely be alpha with glasses, and once you do it makes you look smarter and thus even sexier, but it is a handicap at first which many newbies to the game do not need. |

I contest these views. Sure don’t wear glasses in the club, but at the bookshop or in a coffee shop its not a bad thing. The right look for the right situation. |
