| Post subject: | DHV Story - Broken Ankle |
So one time, when I was younger, on a holiday in Cornwall, living young and vicariously, I was running with one of my friends. But suddenly disaster struck, and my ankle got caught in a pothole and snapped. Knowing I'd do the same fpr him, my friend helped me down the hill, and over some rocky terrain. I swear, my pain tolerance went up by like two points that day. All in all, it taught me the important lesson - look before you leap. Now I run into things headfirst, so I can see where I'm going. Comments? I know it hits some DHV points, social proofing, holidaying (admittedly, this event put me off them), some pain tolerance thing that would probably impress the guys, wrapped up with a shiny little lesson. And laced with jokes. Terrible? Alright? Insta-lay potential? |

I would hope she doesn't call you out for having no idea what the word "vicariously" means... I'd say what you were doing when you were running. Just jogging for exercise? Maybe a running leap off a cliff and into a lake? what was the context...? |

Ha, good call. Though, I know what it means, just tend to mis-use it... I think spinning it to be jogging would be best, yeah? We were just goofing off really. |

Why make stories up? Not interesting enough to be you? Riqueza. |

Well, it's a true story, so... aren't DHV stories a thing in this community? |
