so a girl im workin on says people think shes dumb (shes not) and she tells me shes not dumb and dont listen to what people say about her... this to me says she cares what i think, which is good. but anyways, i have something i want to say to her. Me - i got a question for you Her - what? Me - whats heavier? (slight pause) a pound of feathers or a pound of steel? Option 1 Her - a pound of steel, duh! Me - (tease her a bit) Oh yeah!? 1 pound of steel is heavier than 1 pound of feathers? Option 2 Her - they weigh the same silly... Me - and people say your dumb? [name] your funny. what you think? it could backfire by her saying "you think im stupid"? but she is very playfull and probably wouldnt... |

I would say... "I don't think you're stupid, you know how I know you're smart? Look at the size of that head! you must have a big brain in there." its a bit of a neg and makes her feel like she's blowing things out of proportion... another way would be to ask her... PUA:Have you heard of the 18/40/60 rule??? HB: um no???? PUA: at 18 you worry about what other's think, at age 40 you don't give a crapwhat other's think, at age 60 you realize no one is thinking of you at all. Don't worry about what other's think, everyone is thinking about themselves anyway. |
