Post subject:  The Subconcious 4 - Cold Reading

This was a series of Questions originally designed by Carl Jung to show a subconcious insight into how you view yourself. I field tested it twice tonight and both times generated a lot of intrest with the participants.

The test is 4 questions, stress that the person is to answer immediately with the first answer that pops into their head.

The Subconcious Four
1. Think of a Colour. Now describe it in 3 words.
2. Think of an animal. Describe it in 3 words.
3. Think of a Body of Water. It can be a specific one or just a type of water body.
4. Think of yourself in a white room with no doors or windows, how do you feel?

I field tested on a guy who was always looking down on me as a AFC. I got the following response (Only I forgot to get them to explain but pushed on). Remember a PUA has to be able to talk to anyone, not just women. Here's the explainations.

Me: So What was the colour?
Them: Red
Me: Well the colour represents how you view yourself. In this case Red. That usually represents of person who is passionate, emotionally, angerly, in love, and in life. Its a vibrant colour and full of energy. This is how you see yourself.
Them: huh *surprised* interesting

Me: And the Animal
Them: Well an Elephant. Your not gonna tell me I'm fat or something.
Me: No, no, some people might see it as a bad thing. But the elephant represents how you think people see you.
Them: Well I do got a big trunk....
*Everyone laughs*
Me: Haha, but really. When you think about the elephant is kinda slow in its movements. So while most people think its a bad thing, it actually represents that your carefull and precise with your decisions and that your quite strong in your character because of your size(animal). Also you see people as looking to you for advice because an elephant is very intelligent.

Me: Now the body of water.
Them: Lake Eerie
Me: Well the body of water is how you view your sex life.
Them: Uh Oh!
Me: Haha! I don't wanna delve too deep on this one cause something creepy might jump out!
*Everyone laughs*
Me: But really though, it might be that you view your sex life as something out of the norm, something different from everyone else. A bit kinky even.
Them: Blah blah blah

Me: Lastly the white room
Them: I thought depressed/boring
Me: Well the white room represents how you view death. So we could say that because you see it as boring/depressing it means that your really enjoying your life now. That when you die all the interesting stuff thats going on in your life will stop. You view life as an adventure that you have to get the most out of it now before it ends.

Suffice to say, this guys view of me was completely turned around by the end of the test. And his attitude from when we first met tonight to his attitude when he left was quite noticable. The funny thing was I was teaching this to a friend when the guy walked up and my friend set me up with "Hey Holden, try the test on him"

But remember
The dirty secret to cold routines is that you always build the person up with your results. But the paradox is that while your building them up your actually making yourself look better and better than them.

hey i really like this one man- im def going to use it.
You are sure it's from Jung? I've studied a lot of his stuff and never came across it.

One thing i would recomend when running this routine is to switch order and put body of water last - instead of the white room.
Therefore the last thing they are thinking about from the routine is sex.
guess that wouldnt matter when running on a guy tho obviously.

thanks again
i actually have these 2 girls im with that bug to run more of these types of routines on them lol

ok so im plannin on using this this weekend so i been working on other responses (also i think i like it better without the 3 word description - makes it easier i think)
holden im sure urs would be better than mine since ur the op - so feel free to add
either way here are some ideas - feel free to mix/match, add/subtract to ur desire. and remember to smile and use cocky/funny throughout the test as fill. and if u memorize these - u should be able to apply the closest one to a random other option they give:

pink = girly, outgoing
blue = introvert, artistic
yellow = vibrant, extravert, always needing entertainment
green = intelligent, perfectionist, environmentally concious
black = seriously? we wont even get into that...
purple = better than everyone else, stuck-up, but willing to help others in need

dog = loyal, good friend
cat = playful, but lazy, will go out and party as much as staying in and relaxing, picky with friends
lion/tiger/shark/eagle = predator, stalker, leader/alpha, trend-setter, promiscuous, short-tempered
type of fish = quiet, shy
snake/croc/reptile = seriously? well back-stabbing, not a good friend
frog = cute, friendly, easy-going, friendly with anyone
cow/sheep/goat = will do ANYTHING for a friend, will bend over backwards, easy to take advantage of, a follower

pacific ocean = when you find the right person - u like to have a lot of sex and are open to trying new things with that person, however u are not interested in having sex with a lot of partners
atlantic ocean = old fashioned – not a lot of partners, sticks to missionary and girl on top
red sea, Indian ocean, etc = very passionate and sensual, loves sex, open to try new things
arctic = o really, I bet u masterbate a lot
rivers = you need sex to be fun and new every time

what u guys think?

It might be best to exclude the fourth one.I it is best to avoid talking about death with or around targets. The other three, especially ending with the water one, should cover enough of what you need to get a good reading out of them.

Fantastic post. I'd heard those before, and that was a good reminder. The only thing I might change is with the body of water. Have them name it and describe it with three adjectives. That way you can get some very funny answers.

Oh yeah, and I agree with the poster that said keep sex for last. It's the punchline to the whole routine.

I think aceofspades12 spades has goten a good start, BUT being a cube fanatic I must ad some things: pink can be: Partygirl, fragile princess, alternative, cozy and so freaking on. So remember to change the angle from what you allready know.
And if you get something like "pinkish cerise" or some animal you never even heard about dont try anything else than alt1: "that one´s new, gotta take you to the lab." or alt2: "Youre consiusly or subconsiusly just trying to test me"

get the "flow"?

aceofspades has some good ideas, but i wouldn't go with the color purple or the snakes idea. you are trying to build them up while building yourself up. saying they are stuck up is more a threat, even if you follow it with "but you will do anything for a friend" they will only remember the stuck up section.

If that is their personality, neg them for it. I personally would tell them the truth about both snakes and the color purple. Turn it into a neg and laugh about it. like "Seriously, purple? Oh man, you may be helpful in a pinch but you can be a little snooty" *laugh and smile* "Does that describe you, your majesty* laugh again*" something along those lines. When you say "Your Majesty" say it in a super corny acting way.

Dude, I can't thank you enough for this one. I use it all the time now. I consistently get "your interesting" with this one. Women flippin love it. When i'm out with friends and new people this one is great. I usually add a DHV spike to it by saying that my old girlfriend was a psychology major, and she said....

How about keeping it the 4 questions game, omitting the question about death, and adding before you begin: "OK, Are you ready?"

That way, you get them twice, once with the base routine, and once when they ask "so what's the fourth question?"

What do you guys think?

im going to elaborate on the colors a bit.

Red - passionate
Orange - Adventurous
Yellow - Energetic
Gold - Loyal
Gray - Conservative
Purple - extravagant
Blue - Sincere
Black - Mysterious
White - Pure or innocent
Green - Nature-loving
Brown - Warm
Pink - Outgoing

those are my interpretations on the colors. Works for any type of game like this. Even for the cube.
