Here's a routine that was inspired by something I said to a girl I saw at the mall the other day. I said it, and immediately thought it had potential, but I didn't go anywhere with it; so I wrote it down, added some follow-up lines, and built it into this routine. Haven't had a chance to use it yet... but anyway, tell me what you think. =================================== Me: ...Oh! Haha, oh wow. (wait for reaction) Me: Oh, sorry. I saw you out of the corner of my eye, and thought you were my little sister! I was about to tell you you're too young to be hanging out at a bar, haha... (Disqualifying meself as a potential suitor. After all, I don't want to hook up with a girl who reminds me of my sister, right?) (wait for her reply to finish) Me: I'm glad you're not her, though. If you were, I'd have to spend the night watching your back and making sure you got home safely. Haha yeah, I wouldn't be able to help myself, that's just how I am. (DHV, showing myself as a protector of loved ones) (wait for her reply to finish) Me: (cock an eyebrow, grin) Wait, so how old ARE you? (Neg, forces her to qualify herself to me and assure me that she is, in fact, of legal drinking age) ====================================== So that's it. If, later, she recalled that I thought she looked like my sister and wondered why, then, I now had my tongue down her throat, a response something along the lines of "I'm seeing less and less resemblance the better I get to know you" seems as though it might be appropriate. Opinions welcome! |
