Post subject:  Harem's Mood Ring Routine
Perhaps one of the greatest props i have ever encountered. And it's a 50p mood ring. With a badly painted enscription reading 'top teacher'.

I feel i should explain.

Comfort building -

Girl: whats this?

Harem: Oh thats my mood ring.

Girl: why do you have a mood ring?

Harem: a little girl gave it to me.

Girl: why?

Harem: promise not to laugh.

Girl: I promise

Harem: I got this as a present from a six year old girl with learning difficulties. I went to help some school children learn to read about six months ago. This little girl (INSERT NAME HERE) when i first met her could barely read, but by the time we had finished together she was a pro. She bought me this ring as a thankyou and i haven't taken it off since.

Girl: Oh my God that is so sweet. (blah blah blah)

Wait... so if I understand this well: You have never taken the ring off, and now you're giving it to a stranger in a bar?

I must have misunderstood something, because that wouldn't make sense.

Yeah that would do really well, demonstrate value + comfort, rapport you might not want to give it to her on the spot but near the end when you # close, do the whole are you a theif thing.

Oh yeah, sorry if i confused anyone. I meant that the routine was a gift - the 'this is my gift to you' thing was me saying that to the community, not the girl.

And thanks Tony - i actually did the whole 'are you a theif' thing on a girl last night - the only problem is she wouldn't give it back to me and i didn't want her to keep it as it worked so well!

I apologize for the misunderstanding. Now when everything makes so much more sense I have to say: I like it. Not the easiest routine to perform, but it somewhat good. Keep up the good work, I've seen that you've been making an effort in the forum.

Thanks Zentrode that means a lot. Its taken me a while to get to the level i now am but now that im here i just want to share - its improved my life so much i want everyone to have that same opportunity.

I still have lots to learn obviously but im feeling good about my progress - i met with a vogue model today!

(before you picture some smoking hot perfect 10 shes one of those keira knightley-esque boyish girls and still a teen like me but still incredibly beautiful)

shes invited me to some horse racing thing on saturday and is contantly texting or phoning and ive gotten her to admit on several occasions that shes atracted to me - Good times. But i digress..... got off topic there.

Anyway my point is thanks.

I'm not a big fan of DHV stories, unless this is true, this is by far the worst lie and worst case of pointless bragging I have read in a very long time!

Why not just cut yourself some pretty scars with a knife on your upper arm, tell the girl that you got then when you tried to save your brother from a burning car, but you were too late, cry a little and seek comfort with her.

Seriously, this is just as bad! :evil:

Again, unless of course your story is true. If you feel you have to use DHV, use true stories and make them sound better! But if you are an alpha male and behave like one, you will never have to DHV again!

I don't think you can destroy so completely a technique that worked for me - i accept that you like using an alpha approach, but that doesn't work for a lot of girls - trust me.

I listened to what she was saying and it quickly became apparent that she was into all the sensitive crap. I therefore constructed a story to suit my current climate.

Pickup is not mathematical - the same equation does not always lead to the same result. It is fluid and therefore you have to be just as fluid.

I appreciate that your techniques may work for you, and if you dont like mine, don't use them. Don't however just try and demean them.

And it has parralels with real life, i did help children read and simply upped the emotional intensity for a very emotionally intense girl.

I appreciate you may be a very good PUA, but everybody has different styles - if they were all the same there would be no community.

I totally understand where you are coming from with this, and even more so I agree that you have to customize your pick up after the girl you are picking up and the situation that you are in.
And I also don't think that there is anything wrong with DHV stories, I just think that they are unnecessary, if you act really confident that will be DHV enough.
And I also think that blunt lying should never be used in pick up.
Little white lies, jokes, exaggeration, slightly twisted truths, sarcasm, irony and everything similar are ok, but straight out lying is just wrong.
There is also a huge risk of you being called out on it.
And also, do you wanna pick up a girl who thinks that you are someone that you are not?

Yeah thats a good point.... i'll probably tone it down a bit for most girls. I didn't think of the catastrophic effects if she finds out my story isn't true. In the heat of the moment i invented a story that works and was quite proud of it - maybe it needs some tweaking!

I'd love to be in the position where body language ect. by itself communicates high value but for the moment its words and stories that i have to use.

Still learning! When i get to that point the mood ring is coming off.
