i got this girls number. she totally put her self out there. I caught on and got the number. i texted her 1st time she she stops texting mid convo (like 2 text in) and i wait 2 days and text her again. I fed her the good ol congratulations she said "for what?" (15 min later) and i said "i was just thinkin of u congratulations" (corny i kno, but i thought it was funny) and she text me back an hour later saying "o ok" from what i got when we first met was she was attracted to me. But whats up with this long time wait/one liner stuff? How do i stop this? |

You can't stop this! This is why texting sucks and it's the most frustrating thing because girls act like children. Personally I don't tolerate being ignored. So I move on immediately. |

try opening and then texting 'busy?' if she says no...call her. she might just not like texting. I run into this a few times. rockstar |

dude, dont contact a girl you meet at a bar/ club via TEXT message the 1st time, it shows DLV. call her. then texting is ok, but keep them short. texting should just be used for flirting, not for having conversations. |

PS. Dont use that "congratulations" text again, very weak. |

Some girls are just like that... They get distracted and stop texting, maybe they don't like texting or maybe they've simply run out of credit. There could be a million reasons why she stopped texting you. The congratulations text works best when you already have her hooked and invested in you. It works at its absolute best if you've made her really work to get you, but I'll cover that in another post I'm working on. Now, while some guys are against texting and some for it, an important thing is to be aware of how things are done in your age group and your culture. Older people will generally call, whilst younger ones will most likely text. It's also possible that you didn't have her as attracted to you as you may think, because some girls just really love the attention and flirting and get a boost out of giving out their number. Either way, leave it a bit and then try again after a few more days with something she can actually reply to... This one comes to mind: You: OMG! You'll never guess what happened last night! Her: What happened/whatever You: Ahh.. wrong [insert her name]. Anyway, how've you been? She'll still be curious and will probably ask again about what happened, so just tell her some funny story. |
