this thread is to discuss the use of props in a club/bar situation, or any other situation. what i mean by props for example is when Mystery gives that guy a feathery boa to take into the club on "the pickup artist" and all the chicks were grabbing it, and putting it on and shit. ill include some that i have used succesfuly and feel free to reply with props that have worked well for you in field. 1. hat - sometimes ill bring a cool hat to the bar even if i dont feel like wearing one. ill just hold it. the best responses i got were from a kinda straw woven fedora with a multi colored band. (sounds weird but its actually pretty pimp looking) anyways women couldnt keep their hands off of it. they all want to wear it. makes a great opportunity to use a "is she always this grabby" neg. 2. rings - sometimes ill throw on all my rings when i go out (like 3 on each hand). women always grab my hands and want to see them, or want to wear one, or want to know where i got it, or what it means. great conversation starter and suggests affluence. 3. camera - bringing a camera and taking lots of pictures of you and your friends at the club or bar is a good one. makes it look like you are out to have a great time and want to remember it. also it can be used for all kinds of openers ie: hey could you take our picture? or take a picture of yourself with a set you opened then tease them about it and dont let them see. works for me and its always fun to look at those pics the next day. anyone got any other good props that work for them? |

Dude,1. hat - sometimes ill bring a cool hat to the bar even if i dont feel like wearing one. ill just hold it. the best responses i got were from a kinda straw woven fedora with a multi colored band. I have two things to tell you. First of all, I will quote Mystery from Season 2 of the Vh1 show. "If you can't do pickup in jeans and a t-shirt then what's the point." Secondly, does anyone tell you that you look like Rick Astley <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/gvUiLtwlEl8&hl ... ram> |

hahaha, who is that guy. never heard of him but he sure has some swag. anyways, i understand what mystery means, but that statement coming from him is kinda hypocritical, i mean look at the guy. sure if your game is strong then you should be able to pick up chicks in jeans and a t-shirt, but if you can use props to your advantage then why not utilize them. they can be great openers, and also in the mystery method, he talks about the importance of wearing an interesting item ie a necklace or peircing. a womans interest in this item is a great ioi. if a woman grabs your hand and says "i like that ring, where did you get it". what she is realy saying is "i am interested in you, and i want to talk to you". these "props" or really just parts of my avatar have worked great for me in field. |

Nice to see someone else understanding the awesomeness of cameras I like to pimp out with jewelry and look like a rockstar when I peacock, girls can spend hours deciding what to wear for night out so alot of my necklaces and rings ive had female friends or mall-targets help me pick out, so far it seems them and me got good enough taste to get people intrested. Mix in my Gold-rim Tinted pilotshades or my shuttershades and voila. Ready to Swing it like stevie ray vaughan |

Quote: Dude,
The idea behind that statement is that you should be able to function with or without your gear, even in the worst of conditions. However, since we all know accessories and gear are a clear advantage in the game as visual attractors, conversation starters, DHV's etc etc why not capitalize on it and use it to your advantage? Every other guy is doing his best to look his best to meet women... shouldn't you be doing the same? I have two things to tell you. First of all, I will quote Mystery from Season 2 of the Vh1 show. "If you can't do pickup in jeans and a t-shirt then what's the point." A digital camera is always a great accessory. Any good conversation started with a girl will eventually lead to your camera if it's in view. At some point she'll want to see it and browse through a few of the pictures. Knowing this I load my camera's memory card with fun exciting pictures of me out with friends, me with girls, artsy photos I've taken, my dogs, my car etc etc. It's basically like Mystery's photo spread idea, a pre-conceived photo album of the highlights of my life. But if she initiates seeing the camera it seems completely candid and innocent. Then I get a picture with her, and she gets added to my material to show the next girl. |

Handsome Artist, For the record. I got to see Mystery on a live feed about two weeks ago and got to see him answer a lot of questions about Game and his book Revelation that is doing pretty well. One of the things Mystery said about him peacocking is that he knows he looks ridiculous and he's a fashion misfit. He further went on to say that people shouldn't try to copy his extreme peacocking because it does look dumb. He talked a bit about going out mostly with just a beanie and his goggles on. Anyways, thought you might find that interesting. My point wasn't that peacocking is not effective. It can be very effective. However, I see a lot of guys in clubs I go out to that peacock subconciously. The rock singer, the goth guy, the preppy boys, etc. One or two interesting items on you is good to have, and can be effective sure. Still, a lot of new people go overboard with how much stuff they start out wearing. Pick one or two interesting items to work with on a given night. |

Do agree J, i never use hats or the pink boa's mystery wears, if it aint me im not wearing it. However, like you said, i peacock. I go out dressed like a rockstar. The thing isnt the peacocking in itself, but henching your bets, knowing how to turn that "cool necklace" comment into a discussion and then knowing where to go from there is the key to success when peacocking. |

Cameras at clubs can be priceless. I was once taking pictures with friends at a club and just goofing around when I had two girls come up to me and say "Can we get a picture with you?". After the picture they said that my friends and I looked like were we having a lot of fun so they partied with us for the rest of the night. The key to club game that works for me is to straight up vibe and have fun. People notice that and you don't need a hat or anything to pull it off. I'm not against peacocking, I'm just saying that I think it should be a mixture of a few items (ex: a cool necklace or bracelet) and some outgoing personality. |

He he, I love those pics Jsmooth! I got to say that I have gotten used to carry a camera around since I tried to put together a little slideshow of our exploits for my wing. The I realized that since I didnt use it as a pickup tool it was much more interesting, I was congruent, I really wanted the pictures more than talking to the girls. Hey, I got both. The other thing is about peacocking, listen to Jsmooth, hes right. I started out as a Mysteryclone, I got hundreds of dollars woth of peacocking gear that I never use anymore. Just when I go out in order to sarge. Truth is, I dont go out just to sarge that often anymore, its just that every time Im out for other reasons, it turns into a sarge. Mostly without peacocking stuff. And it works. Do you guys believe that your dreamgirl is gonna time it so that she will be around that special night when you got the perfect clothes? Or could she be just anyone you meet when you are not prepared? Peacocking helps... It does, but it can just get you so far, after a while your skills develop so high that your clothes doesnt matter anymore. They are there to fill in the things that you have not yet fixed in your ultimate PUA mindset, just like routines and almost everything in pickup... Its there while you need it and after a while you throw it away. Ezo |
