Did you get those earings from a secret santa? 'Those earings' can be substituted with anything i.e.... *That dress *Those shoes *Your lipstick bla bla bla!! What ya think? Subtle, cocky funny (if said with a smile), and not to painful if just a small neg is needed! Cheers, CHLLXX |

It's best to neg for something that they cannot change. That neg will come off harsh. I'm a newb, but I read that neg and cringed. |

I dissagree... I feel in all fairness that if said with a smile in a joking style it would be funny but also a very subtle neg? |

I think this is a fairly solid neg, but i wouldn't use it when refering to anything bigger/more expensive than earings. i wouldn't use it outside of the 3 weeks leading up to or after Christmas because nobody thinks of secret santa any other time of the year and it could just come off as weird. WIN |

You could replace secret santa with "Was that blank a gift or did you pick it out yourself?" whatever they answer add, "Well it's still nice". Loved it by the way, just thought I would throw out a different way of sayin' the same thing. Kudos. |
