OK, I have a date friday thats after my ice hockey. I could go home and drop my kit off or go straight there. If I turn up with my hockey kit in tow do you think thats a good DHV or shows poor organisation? |

If you have time, you drop it off at home. Either way, you have stuff to do. Being occupied with your own life is good. So, it can be a DHV. Just relax, if you have the equipment in the back-seat, because that's where you toss it when you get into the car, anyway, and she pops the question "what's that?" You have let her discover another part of who you are. Right ? You play hockey. You just were at practice or whatever. What would you do if you were supposed to meet a friend ? (If the equipment smells like sweat and shit, you take the time to drop it off, of course If you don't drive a car, but suggest carrying around a bag of stuff, I'd recommend you drop it by at home, and if that makes you five minutes late, you explain why. Cheers. |

Come on man, Bringing a smelly bag to a date? You already have a date with her. Take it easy and show up clean and fresh. On the other hand, I've gone sarging after a business meeting where I am decked out in my Armani suit and the price of a car on my wrist where the girls go, "what are you a salesman??" (But they know what's up 100%) The pick up gurus love to talk about the insignificance of money but let me tell you something . . . telling a girl, "Ugh, I hate this fucking suit . . . business meeting ran late . . ." is an automatic fuck on for the night. . . especially when all the other "kids" at the club are dressed like . . .eh . . ."kids" . . . |

I gotta agree with kasabi on this one. I think the DHV really depends on the context. Like kasabi said a suit really does show DHV....now whether that leads to an f close is debatable, but it definetly is a way to peacock. Thats why Barney from "How I met your mother" is always in a suit. Hockey is a little different in the sense that it shows you have a life (DHV) but doesn't have the pinache of a suit. I'd agree with poster, bring it up during convo, throw the stuff in your trunk if it smells, and invite her to the rink. Your hockey skills will translate well if you are playing a game or if the two of you are on the ice together. Suit up! |
