Can you make a joke about yourself without DLVing? or is it a no-go area?

Self degrading humor can be really funny but I wouldn't make this a basis for my game. I mean it's cool to laugh at yourself and show some personality sure. If it's just peppered into the interaction because of something that happened then that's one thing. To set out with the intention of using this is a no go, because it is a DLV. If you don't think highly of yourself then why should she?

if it is the right type of funny, like having a funny adventure not stepping in dog shit.
