I think I have this problem. I have so many life experiences and have traveled so much, seen and done so many things in my life that I can bring up something off the top of my head and relate it to anything. The problem is I often wonder if I do this too much. To the point I sound like a show off |

Don't state things blatantly. It should all be subtle like your DHV's are just sidenotes to your story otherwise it comes off as bragging. Try not to do it too often either. |

the to make it not sound like bragging is to not say it to your target. Tell the DHV's to the other's in the set, but allow your target to hear. But ya, just a few is all you really need. |

There is always a fine line between increasing social value and looking like a pompous prick. Moderation and not directing at your target are good ideas. A good DHV in my opinion is something that is subtle and should not evoke a conscious response is the target, but rather secretly implants the idea that you have a higher social value-more of a NLP thing. I believe the same issue is true when applied to negs. I have definitely over-negged a target before and I came off looking like the a prick. You can usually tell if your stories are good or not by the response they are getting. If some chick yawns in the middle of another Mount Everest story than chances are you're laying it on too thick. |

Remember, DHV stories shouldn't be too long, but should convey a few of the DHV story attributes. If the story is too long, the girl may become bored, forget what the point of the story was, or see you as being way to try-hard. It's a DHV story, NOT a DHV novel. |

You gotta feel the vibe... At a certain point, when you tell a story and have built enough value people will assume DHV spikes in your story. You dont actually have to say them. Example, if I have just told a story about when I was Ice skating in the carribean and I tell you that I saw a shaman looking guy yesterday people will connect these things. They will assume that he has something to do with your previous stories. Paint a picture of who you are and peoples brains will fill in the missing details. |

It's definitely possible to over-DHV. Once you've flicked some attraction switches, start qualifying. Have a two way interaction instead of a monologue. Keep telling her the cool stuff about yourself, there is no point in hiding that you are an incredible guy with awesome experiences, but... all girls will get worn out if you're turning the interaction into a speech. Have her seduce you simultaneously  The best pickups I've ever been in were the ones where I was being seduced  Hope this helps |

i think my best one is I live in North Carolina and I'm from New York, people automatically assume NYC even if you tell them you're from upstate....apparently all of NY state is covered in city or the other day because I'm pretty new here I asked my uncle if they have deep sea fishing here like we used to do in Alaska and instantly the bartender was up my ass asking me about it. I always do try to find a way to sneak the Alaska bit in just because no many people know someone who has been there. |
