I am relatively new to the texting game and would love to hear from people who have been successful at it. How often do you text a girl you're working on her: Daily; Weekly? Are you able to build sexual tension through Text message? Is it worth it? How long should you keep the texting? dozen messages or so? Should you put a time constraint on your texting? Any other advise is welcome. |

first of all i would say that you can build attraction through texting. its easy to get carried away with texting though so heres a few things iv learned in my texting experience. im sure people can add more to this but here goes... 1. take some time before you respond, especially if she does. if she takes 20 minutes to respond to each message dont respond the second you get her message. 2. dont text too much, try to have something to say. avoid "whats up" texts 3. Try and lead to conversation somewhere. end with a question or a statement that you know will get a response. ovoid conversational dead ends. 4. its hard to convey excactly what your trying to say in a text, sometimes a well placed "lol" or a "(:" face makes all the difference 5. dont always be the last one to send a text in the conversation. if its clear the conversation has ended, its ok to let it be you dont always need to send a "goodbye" text message |

another thing to add is say she texts you first with a "whats up" text. Wait a few mins then simply reply with hey im busy right now can i call you back in an hour? (but dont if shes into you, and you guys been texting for 3 or more days, she will call you) so with out looking needy to talk to her it is a good way to move from texting to actually talking to her. which in my eyes is a lot better to build off of then texts. |

I actually prefer text, as it gives you more time to think and thus more control over your thoughts. Esp if u aint a seasoned vet. |

The more you call, the more better you get at it.I can see that you have been texting alot more than calling |

to me texting is because people are AFCs... i mean its understandable to seldom do it along with messages on myspace or facebook. but if you want a girl to be interested have confidence and call that HB give yourself a voice. |

I agree with EC Alexander, texting is AFC, Great for practice since it gives you time to respond and rapport can also be built through texting or IM (specially with shy girls) BUT, experience has showed me that not everything comes out the way you want it, unlike talking, there is little or no tone (depends if you type CAPITALIZED and "lol" often) messages can be misinterpret, and sometimes you may fail to capture the attention of the Girl. I IM and text very often, am not good with words and i get shy around girls, so texting becomes an "easy way out" to flirt with girls. But i recommend everyone to move up to phone conversations ASAP. What tends to happen a lot with "texters" is that when they finally see the person they've been flirting with, they freak out, panic, get seriously shy and/or awkward. Lol, sometimes i tend to pretend not to notice them at school, or panic if they pop out of nowhere, and i notice the same on their part. AWKWARD! God i hate that so much! It all becomes easier when you talk to them, better in person and MUCH better if you build physical comfort. |
