| Post subject: | Emotional intelligence routine |
So I tried this out in the field a couple of times and it seems to work... I got the idea from a girl I sarged some while ago. It is a way to get stuck up intelligent serious women to open up. ... PUA: ... So you guys are (insert intelligent profession here)... You must consider yourselves intelligent then. HB: Yeah. PUA: Well, I am sure you have a well developed mathematical and logical mind but how are the other parts of your intelligence? HB: ??? PUA: Well, now I do not remember the name of the guy but one psychologist wrote this incredible book of how intelligence really consists of 7 different classes. Like mathematical intelligence, logical intelligence, musical intelligence, social intelligence, emotional intelligence and a couple of others I cant remember right now. HB: Really? PUA: The most interesting one was the emotional intelligence, like how well you connect to other peoples emotional state, like compassion etc. PUA: Girls are generally better at this than guys but there was a test for it and it was pretty fun, care to try... HB: Sure? PUA: Ok, imagine yourself standing just above the railway. There is a train approaching from the right and you are on a bridge. From the bridge you see that there is a problem with the rail to the left and that the train will crash, killing all passengers. Got it so far? HB: Of course. PUA: Good. So the only way you can save the people on the train is to push the fat ugly guy standing just beside you down onto the rail. That will get the attention of the driver and he will be able to stop the train before crashing but not before killing the fat guy. What would you do? Ok there are obviously two things she can answer and the comebacks are as follows: - So you would kill the fat guy to save the rest? One life for many.. Thats the mathematical way to see it. Logically it makes sense but it also shows that your logical skills are higher developed than your social and emotional skills. You are an intelligent person but can we trust you... Naah! - So you would sacrifice the people on the train because you could not imagine actively killing a human being. Passive violence is more ok for you than active violence. That is the reasoning of an emotional mind. You are a good person in this respect but sometimes it clouds your judgement. Ezo |

also, it makes u look like your not trying to impress her at all. instead it puts her on the balance to impress you as if your testing her. this one is great |

Thanks guys, I like it myself and I was thinking about keeping it secret but I just had to share. Basically, there have been many discussions about how the VH1 show and the upcoming film will change the game. I am not worried at all, I use my own routines for two reasons. 1. I feel better using my own stuff. 2. They have not been exposed in media. So lets share some of our routines with the worried people. |

I'm just curious what you'd say in response to the person who says instead of pushing the fat guy and killing an innocent life, but they'd really wanna do something about it, that they'd jump on the rail themselves and be the one who risks dying to save the others. |

I have encountred this and I just told them that they are among the 3 percent who says that. That she has the ability to think outside the box. This is an unusual quality and you are impressed. However, would she really do that or does she just know that it is the "right" answer? |

That was actually the first thing I thought when I read your routine. But it was more of a thinking out of the box exercise for me. You gave two options, so I always look for a third. Anyway, I thought you might like to know that it's Howard Gardner's Seven Types of Intelligence. If you're using this on intelligent women, you should sound intelligent yourself. Knowing the facts is much better than, "uh, I can't remember right now..." The seven types are: 1. Linguistic - People with this kind of intelligence enjoy writing, reading, telling stories or doing crossword puzzles. 2. Logical-Mathematical - People with lots of logical intelligence are interested in patterns, categories and relationships. They are drawn to arithmetic problems, strategy games and experiments. 3. Bodily-Kinesthetic - These people process knowledge through bodily sensations. They are often athletic, dancers or good at crafts such as sewing or woodworking. 4. Spatial - These people think in images and pictures. They may be fascinated with mazes or jigsaw puzzles, or spend free time drawing, building with Leggos or daydreaming. 5. Musical - Musical people are always singing or drumming to themselves. They are usually quite aware of sounds others may miss. These people are often discriminating listeners. 6. Interpersonal - People who are leaders among their peers, who are good at communicating and who seem to understand others' feelings and motives possess interpersonal intelligence. 7. Intrapersonal - These people may be shy. They are very aware of their own feelings and are self-motivated. |

Also, this kind of reminded me of the psychotic test I was using a while back. Thanks for reminding me about it! |

yeah, I was thinking it would be more of the ethical thing than pushing the innocent guy down there just because he's fat and unattractive. That's pretty fucked up in my book. But what's the the psychotic test about? |

The test has only one point. Building attraction. Anyway whatever she says you can neg her for either being evil and killing the guy or for putting her own comfort before saving the lives of hundreds... Thanks for the psycological update. I Googled it just now and it is fascinating! |
