The High-Five I've learned little tricks and tips about the high five from various PUAs such as Mehow, Style, and Mystery as well as from my own experiences. But I haven't seen a collaborative article explaining the high-five and how it pertains to the game. So I've posted here what I know about, as Stewie Griffin would say, the "elevated hand-slap". Here are some ways the High-Five can be used As an opener and to raise buying temperature: With an energetic vibe, simply throwing your hand up is enough to initiate a kino ping (light touch) with any woman. You can also throw out a verbal exclamations such as "HIGH FIVE!" before the slap and "ALRIGHT!" immediatly after contact. With enough attraction you can enlongate the kino by holding hands at the top and curling your fingers into hers. To give respect to a woman for answering a question right: HB: What's your nationality PUA: Guess HB: Umm... German and Spanish? PUA: Wow! That's right! HIGH FIVE! *high-five* To make fun of a woman for answering a question wrong: HB: What's your nationality PUA: Guess HB: Umm... Polish? PUA: YES!! HIGH FIVE! *high-five + hand hold* You are totally, totally..... WRONG! *throw her hand away* As a neg: Now I did not explain "how" to high-five. This is common knowledge for anyone over the age of 5. But anyone over the age of 6 has probably encountered the high-fake. In essence its a neg that can be used on anyone. Simply pull your hand away before they make contact. For girls its usually best to stick to the high-five, but if you can get away with it, a high-fake can be used to neg a girl. But as with all negs, make sure to "throw and go" and immediatly change the subject with a new thread. DO NOT make it appear like you did a high-fake to get a reaction from her and don't give her a chance to "save face" or retaliate. As a tease: Most of the time when a girl is not expecting a high five, such as when used as an opener, her hand will be limp and the high-five will be more like a high-one. The best way to tease her is to say some variation of the following. Don't recite this line word for word just get the point across however feels natural. "Now, if I had to rate that high five, I would give it about a 2. Come on! Give me a 10!" *throw your hand up again* This time she'll most likely reel her hand back and really try to slap your hand red. This is a great oppurtunity for the high-fake neg but not neccessary. Against AMOGS: When someone puts their hand up in the air, depending on the situation, its almost a social violation to not complete your half of the high-five. So use this to your advantage. Try to picture this in your head. You have an energetic, fun, carefree vibe and you throw your hand up in the air to give some guy a high-five. The guy has no choice but to give you a high-five, and in doing so, appears beta by nature, giving you the alpha, dominant role of the interaction. If he refuses to high-five, he still appears beta for being a "party-pooper" or "buzzkill". Win-win for you. Also, by thowing your hand up first, it gives you the option of performing a high-fake against him if you feel inclined to. Counter AMOG: Now the other end of the spectrum. What happens when an AMOG offers you a high five. As I said earlier, both accepting and refusing the high-five result in appearing beta. And to make matters worse, if he pulls his hand away before you make contact, he's just succsessfully tooled you. Well after thinking this over for a while, I finally came up with the perfect counter. Turn it into a Low-five! Instead of bringing your hand up to meet his, put your hand out right in front of you, palm up. Doing this doesn't refuse the high-five, it just flips the roles of the interaction. He must now bring his hand down to slap yours. It also now gives YOU the oppurtunity to pull off the high-fake (or I guess it would be a low-fake). I now do this EVERYTIME a guy tries to give me a high-five. |

Five's are fun if you are smiling big... but a cheers is always a little more widely accepted (do the high five if you are somewhere that you are not drinking. ) |

I have a friend of mine who sometimes refuses to high-five me, and I can not relate to your post here. If he doesn't high-five me, that lowers my value if the other people does not think of him as a party-pooper^^. Me: *high-five* Him: Uh, no. Whatever I say, he will remain the alpha, since he could AMOG me to look like a child. All further attempts to get him to high-five will only make me look bad since I'm requesting his attention. Anyhow, this isn't about me. What would you guys do if this happened in a set, and it lowered your value? |

putting your hand up like your going to give a high five and walking away when they motion towards you is good, they don't know what they did wrong and in my experience cannot help but follow you and give the high five |

Ive done this before and you can only do this once you have built enough comfort and attraction. If a girl ever doesn't high five you back and your left their hanging just bring your hand down on her face. obviously gently haha but it keeps you in a alpha mind-frame and it shows her your persistent and dominant |

When Im out and talking to someone new and they do the high five, I also high-five out of courtesy but if it is for something moot, like stating my nationality (just because it was used as an example here) then it seems cheesy to me. I mean, I still do it, but for me not to think it is a little cheesy (in a weird way), it has to fit into the convo. |

i met a very eccentric woman in her late 30s. We were talking and she would always be very flirtatious and nice to me, kinoing me IOIs etc... but when we were talking on time i attempted to give her a high five and she gave me the limp, and said she "wasnt a guy" |

Wow now I am convinced that this forum has every issue covered. I have often thought of the pros and cons of high fives. They are obviously a great way to be fun, establish connection etc. I think it is also a bit try hard if you use it too much so I wouldnt start high fiving everyone who happens to walk by in the set. |
