Yesterday Blakez and I were out on a day 2 with someone im after - we went bowling She brought along her cousin whos was a little shit! We went bowling and then stood outside whilst my target was having a fag. The counsin started to try and neg blakez about him having dislocated his knee (he has a support thing underneath). So he asked her to touch it if she didnt believe him. her: *starts to rub support* blakez: you see im not lying her: you just wanted me to touch your leg! *she then goes straight back to look at my target and her other friend and continue to neg him laughing* Blakez: yeah its £5 a touch you know. But when he said the old "its £5 a touch" line she immediately turned to the rest of her group and was talking so loud/ignoring him that she didn't catch the neg. How would you over come this? - We thought maybe being a little louder could help? Any other suggestions on how to break out of her looking/speaking to her friends while you try and neg her back? A few things about what you that - when the cousin started trying to neg your friend he tried to qualify himself by telling her to touch his leg. you can't neg a woman for touching your leg if you were the one who asked her to touch it in the first place. There should have been an "I don't give a shit if you believe me or not" attitude conveyed to beat this shit test. From what you wrote by the end you lost the set. - Chris

Hi Guys, Sorry just to pick up on a few points, i think your right maybe blakez lost the FRAME, but i overall we didnt lose the set. Im waiting for some feedback from the whole thing. But as i heard from somewhere.... she brought her buddies along, and seemed a little bored. I will get blamed for this negative feeling (boredom) even though it wasnt me who decided to being her pals along. Blakez never met any of them before, hence his neg dropping on a day two. Your right though it isnt a neg lol, but i didnt know how to categorise it. |

Agree... If you want to not appear needy do some cocky funny instead. If you neg and she does not hear, why care? Just ignore her. If you do not have more attraction than that you can keep the attention on day 2 then you need to spend more time in A2... |

neggin is just playful flirting who doesn't neg. you can neg your girlfriend for 3 years, its just harmless fun so don't listen to these textbook geeks. If a chick ask me, or was negging me about about my leg I would show her too, then come up with a really big dramatic story on how it happen, then at the end I would tell them that I was lying. try making big unbelievable story, its fun. |

Well, Obviously you can do some playful flirting but that is in fact not the same as negging. The thing about negging is to use a false disqualifyer to show that you are not too interested. Thus, it is most useful up until A2, possibly A3. In C1 and onwards you want to build comfort and create a connection so play and tease all you want but do not disqualify yourself using negs... As I was saying, cocky-funny works better here, it is entertaining and a part of your framewars... Phoenix (Textbook geek) |
