Ok so there is this girl I used to work with and we started talking and everything was great until I learned she had a boyfriend.. I feel like there was a strong connection between us and one night we almost hooked up but she stopped herself and I kinda just made myself lose interest because I didn't want to wait around..

Last week I saw her randomly with my buddy after class when we went to go eat, and she told me we should catch up.
I invited to my house party last night and we had a had a few good laughs (I was drunk but she was DD so she didn't drink) I asked her to let me take her out and she said yes.

I know that her and her ex still hangout sometimes and I'm guessing hook up so I'm wondering if its worth it to pursue this girl even though I know she still has feeling for him.

sounds like it might be a lot of work and trouble to maybe get her to be with me..?? she is gorgeous and I feel like that connection is still there

what are your thoughts/ideas/advice

I'm guessing he's a bit of a dick and you can play on that. Cassanova used to sway broken girls by treating them like gold because they were being treated like garbage usually. This is the ONE TIME being a "nice guy" can kinda work. You have to keep more sinister intentions, but you can "wolf in sheep's clothing" your way in. Basically, be the counterpoint of everything he is. If you don't know anything about him, great! The door is wide open. It's likely she has been talking about him though. Make sure she sees how much of a piece of shit he is and that you are a great guy. You have to be kind, yet aggressive in this kind of situation. Also, BIG NOTE: She MAY get back with him eventually if you stay too nice for too long. He will appear to be the alpha male if you show too much weakness.

thanks for the advice! I'll try and keep all that in mind, assertive but nice at least until we are sexually intimate then I can play the alpha male a little stronger
